Is anyone planning on going to this? I know I more than likely am. Also, for anyone who went last year, were you able to buy season passes in the park for a discounted price? I'm assuming no, but just checkin because I havn't bought mine yet.

I believe you have to buy a discounted ticked ($29.00). However, I went last year and I'm pretty sure I saw people getting in with their season pass vouchers. I'm not sure if they just got lucky and the worker didnt care or what.

There might be a concert but they say there are no lines but it is usually crowded with only flats and coasters open, it's probally only open from 5-11 and you still have to pay parking if it rose to $15. I wen't to three of the b96 buyout before kiss fm took over and alot of rides kept breaking down, very dissapointed, in 2002 v2, batman, and raging bull broke down all night.
It's a private event not open to the general public, so your season pass is not valid for entry. You have to buy a ticket from KISS FM, which, ironically, can be bought online at http://www.sixflags.com.
They DJ live from the park and it is the least crowded you will ever see the park.
The event is on April 28th and begins at 5:00 pm and lasts until 11:00 pm.
Well, my mom and dad won't take me both days, so if I want to go to this, I'd have to give up opening day, which is a horrible thought. Any suggestions on what day I should go?
Well, I would recommend the opening day... However, if you like the artist who is performing and would want to go see a concert... I'd go to this. I don't know who it is yet though.
Last year's trip--
Totally empty, under five minute waits for all of the rides (except for vu, which was like a 7 minute wait), and Twista and Akon performed. I didn't watch, however, but I did have a very close encounter w/ Akon....

I has a close encounter with B2K as i wainted for american eagle in 2002 and they were able to just walk on the ride, the girls were screeeming like crazy, they rode red came back and went over to blue and rode backwards.
i won't be there....i think it'll probably be more packed then they say it will be. I remember seeing pictures from last year when Twista and Akon were there, and the place looked pretty busy. Plus, i have to drive to Northwestern to pick up a certain sfgamworlder so he can go to opening day the next day, so i need all the rest i can get.
Kiss FM was hinting at the possibility that Cascada will be performing for that night.

Just to let you know, the surprise guest is most likely not going to be Cascada. Cascada is performing on April 28 in Wilmington, Delaware at 7:00 pm in The Big Kahuna Club. The slightest chance of her performing at SFGAm before that is slim because it is about a 2-3 hour flight, meaning she leaves at about noon from O'hare, or whatever airport they take, to arrive, set up and prepare. It wouldnt make sense though since she has a performance the previous day at Club Blu in Hartford, Conneticut at 11:00 pm.
