Peeps are disgusting. Chocolate bunnies are where it's at.
Anyways, on topic, I don't know how you could predict a ride being fun to operate before you actually have done it. There are probably many things that go on that you have no idea about that probably aren't the most fun to do.

The way it works is each operator is assigned to a group which in turn is assigned to a group of rides, and then as the day moves on they switch from ride to rdie. It is generally 2 flats and a coaster. At least that is what a ride-op told me one time. While they are a training ride-op they get a card to wear. As they get trained on certain rides their card is whole punched next to the rides they are trained to safely operate. I want to get a job there as soon as I am able to travel back and fourth. I'm 17 but I'll prolly wait til I'm 18 to work there.

That is called a cert badge and it shows what rides you are certified (hence cert) to run. You also get one with your picture on it that shows your home unit (the main ride you are assigned to).
I can't stop thinking about you, but I still hate you!!

I understand, but I don't work there so I was just curious to hear from people who have worked different rides and what they thought of running them.

You're not injuring them, you're just messing with them. If I get assigned to operate V2 next year, I'm going to do a countdown from 10 and whenever I feel like it, I'm gunna start the ride no matter what number I'm on (I'm gunna try to get the whole station in on it too). I can see it now:
"Clear for Launch. Everybody, Let's count them down! 10 ,9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, ~~AHHHHH~~"
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu
And then I will laugh at you for getting fired because someone didn't have their head on the headrest when you launched because they didn't think you would launch for another 5 seconds. Hello, head injury. Hello, lawsuit. Goodbye, Job.

How is that the operator's fault? I didn't know attendants even had to count down before they launched the train.
And you can't get a head injury from Vertical Velocity's launch, no matter how far forward and how loose you keep your neck. There wouldn't be so many impulses being built if there was any risk of injury.
Yes, it is the operator's fault because you must be watching all riders at all times. CP Required a 3 second countdown for Wicked Twister, and false counts got you in deep trouble.
And yes you can get a head injury from the launch. Not everyone has great head/neck support. Thus why it says KEEP YOUR HEAD BACK AT ALL TIMES.
oh i didn't know that Cedar Point got in trouble for that. I guess I wont do that. I will say fun stuff though that makes the preride stage more fun though.

Like... If you wanna re-ride on V2 yell yeah... "YEAH" You wanna re-ride on V2? Then stomp your feet!" Haha too bad. Have a great day at great america!

1)If you wanna re-ride on V2 yell yeah... "YEAH" You wanna re-ride on V2? Then stomp your feet! Are you absolutly sure you wanna re-ride V2? Well, then get back in line and wait your turn. Have a great day here at Six Flags Great America
~~OR~~
2) (Say this when the train isn't completely in the station but the train has slowed down) "If you wanna re-ride on V2 yell yeah... "YEAH" You wanna re-ride on V2? Then stomp your feet. That's right, you can't! Have a great day here at Six Flags Great America!

I know that it is the operator's responsibility to make a final visual check before sending every train. However, I find it very, very difficult to believe that on a train with a capacity of 32, every single rider's head is against the headrest at the same time. The chances of that happening are zero to none. The second thing to consider in this particular situation, and with all inverted coasters, is that it is impossible to see all the seats from the control panel.
Also, the Wicked Twister three second coutdown sounds more like a guest comfort issue than anything. They probably got complaints or management thought it would be a nice thing to do. Honestly, if there was a safety issue involved, would the ride even be built? The parks don't have cash to just throw away at lawsuits caused by this. Cedar Point is the only park I've heard of that requires a countdown to be done, so it's hard to believe it's out of safety.
Also, there are signs that say to keep your arms down, HEAD BACK, and hold on. There's even an announcement before the train launches. So it's really the riders fault if they dont have their head back. Even when they say "Clear for Launch....Good Bye" some operaters wait to launch and others launch right away and people still dont put their heads back.

^Still, it is important to say something that way people can get themselves in a position of comfort. I would not ride the ride if they didn't have that "clear for launch" phrase, because I need to know when it is going to move. To goof around with something that people rely on is more disrespectful than harmful.

^Well, for one I already make more than that and for two, I live two hours away. However, congrats on your position and make sure those things aren't rigged.
