Fright Fest - 2006

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby zjohn1988 on March 3rd, 2006, 11:18 am
Anyone on here from FrightFest crew going back for 2006?

MOD EDIT: I split these posts from the previous 13 page thread to avoid clutter. This is the 2006 fright fest thread, the other can be found somewhere amungst the old topics. Please keep 2006 talk here and 2005 talk in the old thread.

That being said. This is the official 2006 fright fest thread - talk fright fest here!

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Hey did anyone else notice that on the JPM and sixflags websites they cancelled the Sept. 30 and Oct 1 dates of Fright Fest? I'm guessing they needed the extra weekend for preparation, but it would have been nice to have that extra weekend of Fright Fest.

It's been up since the last Fright Fest. People just occasionally throw their two cents in.

It's OK, they added September 23rd 10:00-8:00 and changed the 16th and 17th to 10:00-8:00

So the regular season has been lengthened instead? That's obviously good, but Fright Fest is so crowded on Saturdays that it seems like they need that extra weekend in there.

I know in the past, I have seen several posts about the Elvis impersonator and how hes not needed. I have to disagree with that. The show itself was great, but some of the audience particiaption was the best. I was on Dave Thomas (Elvis, not Wendys guy) website today and noticed FF is not on his schedule for this year. I hope they replace it with something good...our luck, the'll add another pumkin carver

I love Dead Elvis! My mom has a room of her house dedicated to Elvis so I get a picture with Dead Elvis every year for my mom. Plus I grew up listening to his music and Dead Elvis does a great job!

So all the Fright Fest stuff has made their debut this week, so I thought it would be a good time to find this topic. I personally love the new signs talking about the stuff for this year. Any thoughts?

No, that one wasn't me, but I was there....they decided to cut me out. I didn't really have much to do with that video (if I did the camera work would have been better). I just had the idea and let them go off on their own...yeah....

^ Yeah, I knew it wasn't you, but I assumed you were doing some camera stuff. Your friends did a good job. And oh, yeah, since you came up with it, good idea. :)
