The person who is fault shouldn't be Six Flags. The person who lost their cell phone and the people who are throwing rocks should be the ones in trouble. The people who were throwing rocks did it purposely while the cell phone person didn't do it on purpose.
If it's on purpose, then I see why someone should be able to sue another person, and not the park. If it's an accident, it's an accident. Maybe, they should help pay for some of the money, but not for all of it. And what is the fault with the park???????????? That's as bad as the coffee being too hot incident.
So, if someone throws a rock at the American Eagle, and it hits someone; then it's the parks fault. Were did we go wrong as a country??
For the people that say yes, I guess your argument is that Six Flags should have control over every person's cell phone, and to make sure that every person who throws a rock gets kicked out of the park.
What rule can you tell people riding rollercoasters for SF not to get sued again??? "We are not responsible for people who being a bunch of idiots throwing rocks at the train, nor we are not responsible if your cell phone gets out of your own pocket while you riding the coaster."
Maybe, now they should ban cell phones from even coming into the park. This jury is a mockery. They felt sorry for the guy, and thus wanted to get the money from the park instead of the person or people that really caused incident. My guess is that he has no clue who really caused the incident in the first place. He also probably felt that SF would give him the most money compared to another person. People want (alot) of MONEY, and it's like a drug to them. Back to Is coffee hot, or not? Wasn't that Kindergarten you learned that.
