You will love it. Even though every coaster at sfgam it good, you should probably try superman(even though after the first ride it is never the same.), raging bull, v2, dejavu, batman, and viper, and the eagle.
If your head feals ok that day than I would suggest demon or iron wolf.
And dont forget the flats also, giant drop, king chaos, revolution, and orbit are the ones i prefer.
There are some people who reccomend starting off small, and then there are some who recoomend starting off big. Pearsonally I started off big, with American Eagle (line wansn't too long, it's not TOO big and not small). If you start off with Raging Bull, then everything is childs play compaired to that drop, A lot of people reccomend riding that so you won't get scared later on.

Drive responsibly. Don't speed. Speed kills.
Speeding is fun
But I gotta cut down on it...i heard that if you go through an iPass and get to the next one too soon, you can get a ticket for speeding. Is that true?

Well, if i were you, start her on Whizzer because it is a good beginner, a great opportunity for you two..maybe , and that way she could join me in wanting to keep our first coaster.
Then i would hit Ragin' Cajun to show her that you can have fun on coasters. Then Viper, then Demon, than she should be game for anything. Also, if she doesn't like coasters, DON'T take her on Giant Drop. Finally, I would suggest you show here more than the coasters. A lot of people only go to Great America for the coasters and i feel that they really miss out by doing so. Good luck and all of my advise is coming from my personal trial and error with first timers.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter

Abosolutely not. The Toll Authority did deny this rumor a while back, and even if it was true, you'd see articles in the papers about it.
There would be no sense to it, either. Speeding tickets are issued by the State(?) police and that has nothing to do with the Toll Authority. Unless they formed some sort of deal, the Toll Authority would not want to deal with speeding tickets at all. Speeding tickets would certainly cut down on the number of I-PASS users, and that's something the Toll Authority doesn't want.

Not exactly true there TwixMix. There used to be a day when tool authority had seperate powers from the ISP. Now we live in a world where toll roads get lower speed limits (35mph in a work zone, when the state mandate is 45) and the ISP can patrol it at will. They are even bringing Camera enforcement to the tollways.
And courtesy of "Open Road" Tolling (the biggest taxpayer giveaway to CHTA in IL history!), yes they will be able to track your approximate speed via your IPASS. They say it is for analysis of traffic patterns, but there is already discussion down here at the statehouse of using it for "excessive speeding" tickets. While no one is willing to say what qualifies as "excessive", they loosely define it as a speed that would be impossible to claim was normal traffic flow. So, it isn't reality yet - but it is being discussed. This is also assuming the RFID transponders work correctly 100% of the time, which anyone who uses a IPASS heavily can tell you they don't.
Oh and for the first timer - Take her on Demon. Its a fairly short coaster with a good beginners balance of inversions, drops, and speed.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
Hrm...didn't know that. I did know about camera enforcement in construction zones, but I didn't really think about that. Honestly, I don't think the excessive speeding tickets are going to fly. Mailing out tickets is going to decrease the number of I-PASS users, which means more manual lanes and much higher costs for the Toll Authority. It would also decrease the number of toll users altogether, again, something the Toll Authority doesn't want. For the Toll Authority, it's too much trouble for what it's worth.
I say you go big and do Dejavu or Raging bull, once you ride those everything else will be easy. But if you want to start out on some easy ones go on American Eagle, then batman or demon, then whatever else you and her feel ready for.
I'm running to Bull on opening day, anyone gets in my way and they'll get trampled.
