Is it just me? Deja Vu

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Is it just me? Or is Deja Vu not that good of a ride, last year I was pissed when got off of it. I waited 2 1/2 hours, then when got to the gate someone notice some blood on the front seat, (from the previous girl) and one the ride operators had to clean it with sinatary equipment. That was understandable but then they had to test it, I thought that was a waste of time. Then I got on in it was not that great, the chain drop is the best part. I don't think it's worth more than a half hour wait.

I think it is well worth the wait. It is a great ride especailly going backwards through the cobra roll 8).

If you think it's not that great because they had to clean the train and run it empty, thats not a very good reason. You had already waited 2 1/2 hours, whats 1 more cycle? 10 minutes? in my opinion, the ride sucks, but not because the experience isn't great. I think it's one of the best around. The ride itself sucks, very unreliable, and ride cycles are way too long. Thats probably why none have been built since 2001, when the first 4 were built. After the removal of Shockwave, even though it hasn't been open, it is more important to the park. Now, besides Batman, it is the only other rapid-fire inversion ride. In fact, it's the ride that turns you upside down the most times now (usually, unless it vallies  )

I was dissapointed because I thought it would be more exciting than it was, it was okay. Maybe it was because of where I sat, but I just didn't like it and was mad that I waited so long.

Its my favorite ride at the park! Ive managed to get 52 rides on it so far, which is great considering the amount of people who have yet to see it run. I hope they get it up and running really soon!

I may be wrong but wasn't there only 3 built? (SfGaM, SfOg, and SfMm)

Stunt Fall at Warner Brothers Movie World in Madrid is also a GIB, opened a year later, but was built at the same time.

Movie World in Spain (I think) built one that year too. It's called Stunt Fall, and it did not open its first year at all. I don't think it ran most of its second year either, but since then it has opened and from what I have heard it runs the best out of the 4.EDIT: Travis beat me too it by a few seconds.

Well I was right that only 3 named Deja Vu were built at least.

I agree with coasterdude 316 -- favorite coaster in the park. More thrilling than Bull, Viper, and Eagle, more variety than V2, less banging and jerking than IW.Raging Bull is probably a "better" coaster, but I get more of a thrill from DV.

Thanx for at least respecting my opinion. I'm going on Aug 23 and if it's open by then, i'll ride it again. Where is the best place to sit on it?

just a quick question but why would they test a ride just because they had to wipe blood off of a seat??

I didn't think it looked like that great of a ride. When I got off of it, it was a LOT better than I thought it would be. I think it is totally worth the wait . I've been on it 10 times and I went in the front most of those times, which is the best seat. The ride just excites me so much! I can't wait until it opens back up. I swear, the first day I go when it's open, that's probably gonna be the only thing I ride all day. lol

And what about the Demon, is it just me or is that ride terrible. I have got on it many times and all my experiences were bad. It always leaves me with a headache, last year i didn't ride it.

Demon isn't a bad ride, it's not any good, either though. I find myself bored while riding it. Not even the drop in the back seat is that good anymore.

I love Deja Vu... I love how it looks and how it rides. As for Demon, I've rediscovered it lol. This past trip I rode it at night, and I never realized how great it was in the dark! Especially the light tunnel... Awesome. :D
