When Shaprio Visits SFMM......

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Shapiro is touring all Six Flags parks right now so he can see whats going on and make improvements (like you didnt know this already). He will eventually get to SFMM and Im really anxious to see what he says about that park. Theres many things that need to be done......

I think he will get rid of Flashback becuase its been SBNO for a very long time and is rusting away. I also know that park has a lot of downtime. I dont know what he can do about that, but Im sure something will be done. They have been getting a lot of coasters lately and no family rides, so Im sure he will do something about that too just like he will be doing at SFGAm.

Anyone know when he is planned to visit SFMM?

I don't know when he'll visit, but when he does, i'll bet he'll puke. SFMM in a few years I bet will have at least 10 more family rides, Flashback will either be gone or refurbished, and some coasters will get a paint job they really need. SFMM will be a wonderful park to visit in a few short years.

He already visited SFMM. Basically, he said that for the price of Tatsu, they could have fixed up the entire park. He also said they don't need another coaster for a very long time because they have 17.

Really? Thanks for the info.

He is exactly right. This is a perfect exanple of why I like this guy. That park is just trash and it needs to be cleaned up.

And thats the problem with the old way Six Flags ran its park.

Common sense will tell you that if the park needs some 25 million dollars in capital improvements then you wouldnt spend that money on fixing that park and not adding another freaking coaster.

you have to remember though, with SFMM there is a unique situation. Disneyland, and Universal are not far away and both those parks mainly cater to familys. SFMM i dont think can make a family go there over Disneyland. It will never happen no matter how many family rides they put in. No one can beat disney. SFMM should be catering to teens because that is the open market in the area.

True, but as there trying to cater to teens, there not paying attention to other things in the park. After they do some cleaning up, then they can worry about how they want to cater to teens.

There never has been and never will be security checks at random. All guests pass through metal detection when entering the park, what would be the purpose of security checks at random? The security policies and enforcement at Six Flags parks is much more strict than most theme parks, including Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. This isn't an airport, and even the airport doesn't do security checks at random.

Who cares what shapiro does to six flags. A lot of people will still go to SF because they wanted too. SF has been changing year after year season after season but still a lot of people buy the tickets and go to the park. As long as he dont close Great America down and focus on making the parks better for everyone to enjoy including teens not just families hes an Ok guy for the company. Besides teens could always just ride the coasters we have in the park like RB, V2 etc and still enjoy the park maybe in 3, 5, 10 years well see another coaster in Great America who knows, after the company makes enough money to build one for some parks.

After what i've heard about Shapiro, SF is going to be hellafun (moreso, anyway) this year. But with the parades and fireworks comes higher ticket prices and parking :x
