Deja Vu Train on Track!

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby CoasterDave316 on July 22nd, 2003, 10:41 pm
Alright, some of you may be wondering what happened to all the posts in this topic. But first let me state that the original topic was made by "BMan231" when he noticed Deja Vu's train was on the track on Sunday July 20th.Moving onto how I screwed the topic up. The topic was originally posted in the General Coaster Talk forum, and when a mod moved it they left the shadow topic in the General forum. Well this messed up the Latest topics list. So as clever as im not, I tried to fix it by splitting the topic. Well one mistake after another lead to me losing the whole topic. Im sorry about that. MY BAD :?So back to the topic we go.Heres some pics HolyDumb took of the ride today. It has started testing.http://groups.msn.com/kylecoasterworld/sfgamjuly22.msnw

Good thing he left at 6:00 or else the pictures might not be online now. The test runs sucked. 2 out of 7 sucssefull(sp?) test runs.

Well anytime Deja Vu vallies and it doesn't end up over the wood platform or in the boomerang means that the ride worked the way it was suppose too. My guess is that they were testing out the brakes and stuff, but I could be wrong.

Well, I'm happy to even see the train... I wonder if they could get it open by Friday... Hmmm. Oh well, it seems doubtful, but I guess it could happen. :D

Some one said that an employee told them that they were doing that on purpose.

http://groups.msn.com/kylecoasterworld/ ... otoID=1304 I might be seeing things but from that photo it looks like they drilled holes in the middle support.

Or it could be the bloches of paint they added. In the sunlight it probably reflects a different shade of blue than the rest of the ride. Or I can be too tired to even tell, and be absolutly wrong. You choose. :)

I don't know, but it looks like they did something with that support. Som eone a while back said something about filling it up with something. I am not sure though.

I'm pretty sure those are holes. I don't know what they could be for...maybe to add more supports? Probably not.

Holes? Huh? I never saw any holes yesterday, and we watched the thing for an hour. If they were adding supports, why the heck would the be there. I am thinking that is an illusion, drilling holes in the supports would only weaken them.
