Six Flags Great America
announces a newly-themed area, “Wiggles World,”

pint-sized adventures designed just for them.
The Wiggles are the
most popular children’s entertainers in the world,
and “Wiggles World” will be designed to leverage
their vast recognition and status among children ages 2-6.

audience members a year. To date, they have sold more than
22 million DVDs and videos and more than 5 million albums
worldwide, and The Wiggles’ successful television
show has been broadcast on Disney Channel’s Playhouse
Disney since 2002.
“Wiggles World,” the
park’s third area devoted exclusively to children,
will feature specially-themed rides and attractions including
The Big Red Car ride, The Big Red Plane ride, Dorothy’s
Rosy Tea cups, Bouncin’ with Wags ride, Henry’s
Splash Fountain, the S.S. Feathersword Pirate Ship play
area, and the “Get Ready To Wiggle” show featuring
the Wiggles’ friends. The area will also include retail
locations selling Wiggles merchandise and and the Yummy
Yummy Cafe serving healthy meals.
“Wiggles World” will
be populated by The Wiggles’ cast of supporting characters:
Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog
and Henry the Octopus, who will pose for photos and perform
in daily shows. The Wiggles themselves – Anthony,
Sam, Jeff and Murray – will make an appearance and
perform at the park in 2007.

Also
new for 2007 is “Operation SpyGirl,” a new original
live action adventure show created and produced exclusively
for Six Flags by Joel Surnow, the creator of the Emmy, and
Golden Globe Award-winning dramatic series “24.”
Surnow will produce the show in association with Asylum
Entertainment. “Operation SpyGirl” will launch
this spring at Six Flags Great America.
Beginning in May 2007, vis itors
to Six Flags Great America will witness “Operation
SpyGirl’s” heroine save the world at the conclusion
of a dramatic storyline featuring a series of twists, turns
and action sequences professionally choreographed by E.S.I.,
one of the best-known stunt design and coordination companies
in the entertainment industry. SpyGirl will battle against
both a ticking clock and the evil archvillain Max Condor
in her attempt to save the world.
“Operation SpyGirl” gives us the flexibility
to create original content that will extend beyond the boundaries
of the theme park in years to come,” said Mark Shapiro,
Six Flags President and CEO. “Working with Joel Surnow
to bring “Operation SpyGirl” to Six Flags Great
America next summer is a major step forward in the development
of the Six Flags entertainment offering. This plays into
our strategy when you consider that our families are embracing
a revitalized experience at Six Flags that stretches beyond
just rides.”
“ ‘Operation SpyGirl’ is a fun and creative
extension of the action-packed thrill shows I have created
for television throughout my career, and what better place
to bring it to life than at Six Flags, the thrill capital
of the world,” said Joel Surnow, creator of the “24”
television show. “The entire ‘Operation SpyGirl’
experience will be an exciting wild ride from start to finish
that Six Flags Great America guests are going to love.”
