Bears won 19-7. I knew they would win. They did a good job, the first half sucked but the 2nd half was probably pretty good, though I didn't get to watch it. :D

That Bears offense: most of them are signed through 2007 or 2008. Yes, the Bears will be a good team for at least 3 years down the road.

I would love to see a Colts v. Bears Superbowl. Let's see how great that Colt's offense really is...

Do you mean the Bears defense is signed through 07 or 08? Just because the players are signed does not mean the team will still be good. Look at the Eagles, Patriots, Jets, Packers etc.

It's funny you mentioned that, since those 4 teams are probably the teams that have been most ravaged by injuries this year. I think if all 4 of those teams have their full roster, they'd be playoff contenders.

Eagles would not be in the playoffs cause they arent good, but Packers would make it without injuries.

The Colts WILL lose this year, if not to any team, they will lose in the Super Bowl against the Bears, the Bears are going to do what the Sox did, win it all when people say they wont go anywhere at the beginning of the season.

That is kind of my point. Injuries are a big effect on a teams season.

Eagles arent good but Packers just have injuries? You got it the wrong way. I predicted GB to go 6-10 before the season. Eagles however are missing the following:

Starting QB who is a 5 time Pro Bowler
BOTH starting WRs.
HB
Pro Bowl Left Tackle
Pro Bowl Cornerback

Bears beating the Colts? Yea right, maybe if they actually get a QB.

Jets will be back next year. They get their QB back, which instantly makes them a contender. I think they will draft Reggie Bush, who would be a great fit for them.

So the best defense in the league and a top 5 running game can't win a championship? History would prove you wrong. Ahem...RAVENS cough.

Yea, history can prove you wrong. A rookie QB has never won a SB.

And Dilfer is better than Orton.

I personally hope Orton gets hurt so Grossman is back.

Off topic, Orton's gf isnt that good looking, she is a freshman at Northwestern :? and she is in the dorm right next to me, so I have seen Orton at Northwestern a few times already, but he isnt good, so it isnt that special.

Orton is still a crappy QB (his rating through the 3rd qtr was 5.6 and he may have set a new record for lowest rating in a victory), and the Bears method of winning is damn ugly from a statistical point, but it works. I am a die hard cheesehead, but I am enjoying the way this Bears defense plays(not yesterday of course but the few weeks prior have been fun). Their clean, hard hitting, and a true testament to the good ole black & blue division days of the NFC central. I think they could go a ways in the playoffs just because their method is so damn ugly not a one of these hotshot new school coaches are going to know how to deal with it.

Packers exposed a small weakness yesterday with reversals and midzone hot routes, but I'll bet the next team to try it ends up eating turf.

Good to see Eaglefan344 rooting for the Colts.... Their demise is all but certain now.

Hopefully the Bears will adequately represent our division, and literally kick the crap out of the other NFL teams.

I am changing my NFC prediction to the Seattle Seahawks. They are beating my joke of a NFL team 35-0 at HALFTIME. Eagles suck, but still. 35-0.

This is like the GB-PHI game last yr, which was a statement for PHI. This is a statement for Seattle.
