Season Pass week: 8/31-9/2 (completed)

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Danhockey04 on September 1st, 2005, 5:59 pm
8/31: Souvenier Cup day
Crowds: 5-6 rows of cars in the lot
Weather: warm, sunny
Rides Closed: V2, Stargate, ERC, IMS, AER

Got to the park, went to Whizzer first, and they now hold you under the Hometown bridge again for this week. After Whizzer headed off towards Demon, then Bull and Viper (all were walk-ons).

We hit a bunch of other rides, in which order, do not remember, all the coasters but SUF before we went to HH.

We got into HH and basically rode everything in under 2 hours.
HH Rides:
Wahoo - 1
Hurricane Mountain - 2 slides (teal and blue)
family slide - 1 (green)
bowl slides - 1
atomic tube slides (non-bowl) - 2
wavepool - 1.5 cycles
lazy river - .5 cycle (other half was closed)

Speed slides did open right when we were there, but too lazy to go up and ride them, so we skipped them.

Back in the park, we rode a lot more rides, hit SUF and that made all 11 of the 13 operating coasters.

Then I went a 3 ride Vu mini-athon, but got off since the rest of my group didnt want to ride it again, so we went to Bull for last ride front row.

Longest wait: 1st Vu ride 30 minutes after it opened, 10 minutes 1B.

TOTALS:
Bull - 2
Vu - 4
BTR - 4
IW - 2
Spacely's - 1
Cajun - 1
SUF - 2
King Chaos - 1
Demon - 1
Whizzer - 1
Viper - 1
Train - 1 complete cycle
AEB - 1

9/1: Free Sleepy Hallow Tickets
Corwds: Emptier than 8/31 (about 3.5 - 4 rows of cars)
Weather: hot and sunny
Rides closed: Orbit, Stargate, AER, V2, Deja Vu, Condor (maybe more)

Started off the day at Demon, and the SFStL ride-op from Ninja already knew who I was, well he recognized me. Then hit Viper, then Bull, and over to Cajun for a walk-on, as was everything. Then rode BTR twice to get my 100th ride of the year. Then rode random rides and took it easy.

While on AEB, since red was still closed and I look over while on the lift hill, the AER trains were taken off the tracks and the cars are lined up next to each other. Also, one car for each train is missing, so hopefully it wont be too long.

Then talked to a bunch of ops and ride a few flats and made about 3 cycles around the park, hitting everything, since nothing had lines.

The waterpark looked dead, well so did the regular park. It is great, free things and an empty park. I left at 4:00 since I will be back for a power ride on 1-2 rides on Friday, hopefully.

Totals:
Bull - 3
BTR - 4
IW - 4
Spacely's - 1
Cajun - 3
SUF - 3
Demon - 2
Whizzer - 3
Viper - 3
Train - 1 complete cycle
AEB - 2
HTFM - 1
STT - 1

Longest wait: hard choice, the train, 1 and a half minutes. :? Wierd, I never expected the train to ever have the longest wait.

31 rides in 5 hours, and that is stoppin and talking to employees for at least a half hour.

9/2: Free Anyday Fastlane
Crowds: 4.5-5 rows of cars
Weather: nice
Rides Closed: ERC, Condor, HTFM, Stargate, King Chaos, V2, AER, Deja Vu

I did mention I was going to power ride some rides, and that is what I did. Well, first I took a trip around the park and hit all 10 coasters that were open, some once and others twice or three times with re-rides.

Then I started my first power rides with 20 on SUF. Got off and went to BTR with 15. Back to SUF for 15 more. Then I went to eat, which was pretty late. Then I went back for more rides on SUF, with 10, then had to get off, and 10 more. After that, went over to Bull, for a few rides, 6. Then to Viper for 2 more and back to Bull for 4 more. I finished off my day over at BTR with 5 more rides.

What a GREAT day, a re-ride everything day.

TOTALS:

Bull - 12
BTR - 30
IW - 1
Spacely's - 2
Cajun - 3
SUF - 55
Demon - 6
Whizzer - 3
Viper - 4
AEB - 1
STT - 1

Total rides: 118

Yes, I did have a head ache after that, especially with SUF, in the back and half empty trains, OUCH!

But, I did manage something cool....3 rides to 100 in 1 day: SUF, Demon, and Bull

Definately Saturdays. Fridays aren't bad. Sunday the 30th shouldn't be bad, either. Last year's "Last Blast" wasn't crowded, except it was held on Nov. 1. So maybe people thought Fright Fest was over on Oct. 31 and didn't go to "Last Blast"? Anyways, I'm planning on going the 30th for my last rides of the year.

The last day of the year last season was Oct. 31st and wasn't too crowded.

The year before it went into Nov. 2nd n 3rd or something and was completely dead.

But man, that's a lot of SUF in a row espicially in the back! I don't think I could handle that.

w00d "who only did SUF 8 times in a row then got off because it hurt too much"land.

I did SUF 3 or 4 times in a row on the 29th and quit because my leg kept falling asleep from the restraint.

Oh, then maybe I was thinking of '03. Anyways, I know recently Last Blast was held in November and it wasn't crowded.

In what 10 hours, I belive him but 55 times Suf, I hope you packed some asprin. In 2004 I did 15 in a row and that was enough in 55 degree weather with no gloves on. My hands almost got numb.

Dan probably got some mental damage after the first five rides on SUF and was too messed up to get out of his seat so he was stuck until the park closed.
