What was the first steel coster ever made?

Does anybody knows what was the first steel coaster ever made and by who.

They have dated back to the 40's and 50's with old Schiff Wild Mouses and Bradley & Kaye Little Dippers.

Yeah, its considered the first steel tublar track was the Matterhorn at Disneyland which opened in 1959.

I remember riding the bobsleds. I dont remember it being a racing coaster though.

Technically they do race (very technical sense), but they are mirror image tracks, you never see the other train as you go along (exept in one or 2 places). So it's not a racing coaster, its just 2 tracks with identical mirror image layouts which happen to dispatch at the same time for thematic purposes (when you pass another train during the ride)
