Does anyone know the last weekend those are good for. Chances are very good that the park will be SWAMPED on that weekend.

Read to Succeed tickets are valid at I think every THEME park, (including the ones with free waterpark.) Any park that is just a waterpark, or has a seperate pay for it, will NOT include admission to the waterpark.

I think the last day is around the first week of August.

I willl definately not go during those days, sounds like the place will be packed beyong belief. Think about it, a kid gets a ticket and then they need their parents to go to and then they bring a friend blah blah.

Trust me, parents are NOT afraid to take a sick day to go to SFGAm. I guarantee every day from the end of July until RTS tickets expire will be PACKED.

When I say packed I mean B:TR using 3rd entrance, Demon full queue with 3 trains, Bull full queue and out to Crazy Buffalo.

It happens every year.

I most likely will not be going that weekend of the last week of read to succeed because that equals max. capacity, almost. I am probably off to IB, MiA, and maybe ValleyFair.

I might go once to SFGAm, but I really dont want to because of last year, I got there at 2 and parked all the way in the back of the back lot, and got on only 4 rides, all 4 of them being after 8:00.

My brother has one of those tickets, and I told him I'd sell it at the park sometime for him. If it's 47.99 to get into the park and I can sell it for $40 then I can keep 20 of it for myself and give the other 20 to my brother.

Through grade 6 only, if you read 6 hours (used to be 10  but kids are too lazy) then you get a free ticket to Six Flags. Only every kid in grade school participates, and the park loves it because these people only go once per year, go with a group of 14, and spend $100 per person for breakfast, funnel cake, lunch, funnel cake, dinner, funnel cake, another funnel cake, and the rest on useless souvenirs.

Read to Succeed just ruins the park for everyone else

Why not just have the tickets valid any day?

Well, if you were a kid, wouldn't YOU want to get in free to Six Flags?

Howdy, haven't been on in a while!

I have been hearing (through trip reports on this site, and other friends that have gone to the park recently) that it has been quite packed.

My girlfriend and I are planning on heading up to the park at some point in the next two weeks (we live in the Western Suburbs). I know that this was already asked, but does anyone happen to know the exact date at which the Read to Succeed tickets expire??

Though I think it is a great program (have participated in it a LONG time ago), and that it upps attendance at the park, we would love to avoid these very crowded days, if at all possible.

It's great free advertisement.. Think about it.

A little kid reads all school year to get a free ticket to Six Flags. What parent would not take their child to Six Flags to get their reward from reading? It causes Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, friends to buy tickets. In most circumstances $30 is only saved while hundreds of dollars is spent for the rest of the family to get in.

Sounds like a money maker to me. And last time I went I saw nothing but these Read to Succeed tickets in all sorts of children's hands. The park was packed to the extreme also.

Thank God! I haven't been back to SFGAm since opening day (work sucks :( ) so I'm really itching to get back there sometime this month. My friends and I have dealt with the read to succeed crowds for the past two summers now, so hopefully this year will be different.
Finally Coaster Season!!
