I don't mind the pre-recorded messages on the coasters. On some of the flat rides with the ride-ops doing the messages, they don't seem enthusiastic at all.
The recordings are FUN! My friends and I always mimic the recording, it takes time from thinking of the wait in line. Thats wierd how the ride ops arent enthusiastic, its their job to be! Ill just be enthusiastic and happy with a smile on my face, and youll think that of most the employees there, about 5% of all the employees are, bored or hate it there. Theres also another 5% where they are probably having a bad day or they were screamed at by a guest, never the less they shouldnt interfer the guests day with their problems, but thats only 5%. The other 90% are usually very happy to be there, but if you think about it, sometimes it must get very non-enthusiastic saying the same thing over and over, or having to say hi to every guest you see. Just if they give you a problem or bad time, go to guest relations and report it, if they are the very happy and nice employees, report them to guest relations too, with a compliment! Thats all.
It's not how high or how fast you build the roller coaster it's how smooth you build it!
well, thats what i was talking about in reference to CP...despite the fact that they are repeating the same rules and regulations and stats over and over, they didnt seem to tire of it...they were always enthusiastic...
That would be pretty tough to remain enthusiastic all day after working there 100 days already that season at the end of a day. I'm sure the job would seem repetitive and monontonous.
It would be hard to stay enthusiastic all day long. It must get pretty boring just checking the restraints and what not all day long. Anyway Ive been to GAm everyday so far and all the employees I met so far were nice and enthusiastic.
In general, the park workers are great, especially the ones who operate the Railway. The job must be monotonous, but they knew that going in. All in all, they're doing a fine job from what I've seen in my visit.
Whizzer doesnt have a voice recording. Viper has a male voice. RB has a male voice. Demon has a male voice. Deja Vu has a female voice. AE I think has a female voice. I dont know about IW. V2 has a female voice. B:TR has a male voice. S:UF has a female voice.
Challenge park is where they put all the upcharge attractions. Instead of scattering them throughout the park like SFGAm (Wall climb, Daredevil Dive, etc.), Cedar Point puts all these attractions into one spot that you can access separately if you want.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
Here's the link: http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside ... ndex.cfmIt looks like as if you don't even have to go to CP to do Challenge Park. It doesn't seem like a bad idea to group these attractions together rather than scattering them throughout the park.
How does the "please exit all the way down the exit" recordings go at the end of the day? Those haunted me after my last ride on AE at SFGAm. I'd never heard end of the day announcements like that played over and over like that.
Its actually "Please exit all the way out the exit".That recording plays when people that have exited a train dont leave the station. The ride-ops will play that message if someone hasnt gone through the exit turnstile.Six Flags wont let a train leave the station on any of their coasters until the station platform is clear.

Yep, well that's definitely the one. They played it 1 million times after one night on AE when it was rainy and my brother and I were the only ones on it. It was crazy!
Just got back from CP, got 3 rides on Dragster, the launch is awesome i cant describe it, its definately worth the 1.5 - 2 hour wait. Got on Millenium 4 times, you have to ride it at night. Gemini and Magnum 3 times. Magnum is one that is fun and painful at the same time, so much air. Dont ride it near the front cause youll get whiplash in your neck cause there is no headrests! Raptor, Mantis, and Wicked Twister twice. With out the trims on in the mid course brake run on Raptor, the helixes at the end was the most powerful g's i have ever felt, as good as MF. Everything else we did once, plus power tower space shot twice.
oh man...dragster is absolutely insane. its beyond description...ill have a full trip report on my site in the next few days hopefully at which point ill just link to it cause i dont have time to describe it all right now...we were there 3 days. we got 6 rides on millennium force, 5 on raptor, 3 on demon drop, 2 on mean streak, gemini, magnum, wicked twister, and wildcat, 1 on disaster transport, dragster (left the line on monday right before the cable snapped), blue streak, and cedar creek mine ride, and 1 trip on each side of power tower. skipped corkscrew and mantis.good god i love cedar point. will be going back in august for hopefully 4 or 5 days.
