Just got done with a second trip to Six Flags St. Louis this past weekend.
And I have to say that Mr. Freeze is the way a shuttle should be in this era. Not only is the ride itself great, but just the fact that it has great capacity with the dual station and transfer track but also climbing the vertical lift is flawless. When you climb this lift, the magnets grab it and you don't feel anything.
I really wish that this technology would have been used on the Deja-Vu installations.
I don't know how this ride was with OTSR's but I can only imagine that it was very head banging along with the Premiere Spaghetti bowls such as FOF.
Mr. Freeze with lapbars is a clear winner in the shuttle category.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
We went the 18th and 19th and let me tell you that we were blessed that it was slow and we were able to ride Mr Freeze 11 times on Saturday and 6 times on Sunday and we were only there for 2 hours on Sunday! I was pretty nervous at 1st because I have never been on a ride like that before but I laughed thoughout the whole ride the 1st time! Awesome ride!!
I've been on mr. freeze also. It was when it had OTSR but it was still a very good ride. How are the lines usually at sfstl these days? When i used to go it was usually empty. Going up or watching the train go up the verticle hill is awesome because you don't feel it tugging you like dejavu, it stays about the same speed until it gets to the top.
What do you think the chances of us getting a mr. freeze are? I dont think it takes up that much rooml.
I really want to go there but i'll probably get there before 2007.
Huh???^ Don't you mean V2? They were thinking of putting one, but didn't want to expand the Batman area. I wouldn't get too excited for SFGAm to get one.
As for the ride, in my opinion, it's a great ride. I would say that it's ranks with IW, V2, BTR, SUF, SFOG, WDW, and SFStL Mine Train, and others. Speed, upside-down, forwards and backwards, how can you beat that?
In 1998 SFGAm planned on building a Mr. Freeze clone where Camp Cartoon Network and some of Picnic Groove are now I think.
Anyways I've got to agree that this is the best shuttle loop I've been on. I think the launch is much better than V2's and the inverted top hat backwards is mezmorizing. Just looking down the supports is completely disorientating in itself! I really I hope I can get down to SFStL again during Spring Break.

I meant that Raging Bull was built instead. It wasn't going to be in the same plot of land. Since the other Mr. Freezes had problems, SfGam decided not to build one afterall.
