De Ja Vue

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

It's a shame that such a good ride experience is plagued with so much downtime. LIMs on the lift instead of a prototype cable system would of maybe been more reliable.

I remember the first time I actually saw it running. I freaked out and wanted to ride it right then and there. Too bad I wasn't at the park and I was at Gurnee Mills. In fact, the park wasn't even open. (It was testing in September of 2001.)

It brings people to Demon.

I don't think so, Before Vu, Demon lines were longer, now many times I'm in and out of the line

I LOVE Deja Vu. Deja Vu and V2 are my 2 favorites in the world. I would never want Deja Vu to go.

If you have noticed technop; Deja Vu has been getting better every year (maintnence wise). Everytime Deja Vu is open the line is from an hour and 2 hours. I dont like that it is that long sometimes because I dont get to ride (I'v only rode twice because of long lines).

I would keep Deja Vu. Deja Vu, Raging Bull, V2, Superman, and Batman are the most popular at SFGAm. Yeah the rest are popular but these are the most popular

The ride doesnt seem to be having that many downtimes now. When I'm there the ride runs well. Havent seen a long downtime or a miscatch in a while. And the crew is great.

isn't a miscatch when the train is going up the secand tower and the pully doesn't catch it?

I rode it the first day it was open. 3hours of waiting is not fun. only to get up the the station to have to wait another 2hours becuase of the stupid cabel system.

I am noticing that the car fails to hock back on to the cable after the return run. The hock system is faulty and some times it donst hock on right and then the E-stop fires just befor the boomerang. The E-stop on that ride is not a fun one i can tell you that.

How often does it get stuck on a tower?

I've only seen it happen once.

My friends said that they changed the set of cars like 3 times. Is that true?

I remember the first time I rode it.
November 2nd, 2003.
The first surprise was that it was even testing in the rain.
Then it opened, right in front of me. I think I was in shock.
I remember walking up the line, thinking, Wow I'm really going to ride this!!!
Finally Coaster Season!!

The first time i saw it testing i was with my dad friend and friends dad. I thought it was the first test run ever. What an idiot i used to be. Anyways then i got on it the last two weeks of fright fest. The park closed at 11 on a friday and i got in line at 10:30 i got off and i hated the ride and thought i was going to throw up. Then i went on in 2002 once and got sick on that and eagle backwards. Now both of those are my favorite rides.

Well after this weekend I don't think I should even put Deja Vu in my top 5 coasters @ SFGAm. It was bumpier and more painful that ANY Demon or Iron Wolf ride I've ever had. I hope to god it was a fluke because I've never had a problem with that ride and bumpiness whatsoever.

For all of you guys who speculate on what's wrong with the ride should stop. Unless you work at the ride or work on the maintenance staff at the park you really cant say what is wrong with the ride.
