Today, Dorney Park(of Cedar Fair) officially announced the stats of their new $13,000,000 floorless coaster. It will have 7 inversions(Including one before the lift-hill) and will reach speeds of 53mph.
Ah man, you totally stole what I was going to say. But to add to that, no vertical loop. I think for once B&M is breaking away from its mundane track designs. I wouldn't be suprised if this is the best floorless out there. Oh and with the whole "bring down Hercules" and the backstory. They are really trying to pull a Nemesis thing here.
The first pre-lift inversion ever! That will be crazy! It is a really different layout than B&M is used too. I was just pondering today about why all of their coasters (other than the hypers) have swooping drops with the hump. This coaster isn't swooping (well, a little) and no hump. I wish I could drive there and ride it.

That looks AWESOME. Man, I'm desperate to go there next year now. When I read the post, I was thinking "Inversion BEFORE the lift hill?" But that looks completely awesome. I wanna ride this beast.
All I have to say is, this is one amazing and innovative coaster. "Jo-Jo Roll" bfore the lift hill (Jo-Jo roll?) and this new dive loop thing. I mean, Im in shock. I havent even ridden this yet and it won me over. SFGAdv has a tough act to follow.
wait a second, I only count 6 inversions:
barrell roll
zero-g roll
that giant cork type thing
cobra roll
cork
am I missing something? the only other thing that would come close is that first element off the drop, but isn't that just a turn? it doesn't seem to go upside down to me.
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.
Wow... that is awesome. And B&M did a really nice job on those on-ride videos. The graphicsa are amazing, and you have all the little touches like the block breaks sound effects as well as the station announcer going "Did you enjoy your ride"... I really did feel like I was actually riding the ride!

Looks wicked. That trip to Dorney after graduation is a must now. The barrel roll should pack some serious hangtime, the drop looks incredible (68 degrees!), the lack of a loop and an MCRB should definitely put this ride in a class of it's own. I give major props to Dorney and B&M for creating this behemoth.
I really hope this is a show of what B&M has coming in the next years. Cos' they were really getting old, with their floorless designs. I mean Medusa and Scream are basically Kumba with floorless trains. And Kumba was built in 93'!

Just looking at the design, first thing that jumps off that design for me is Stengel, it has to be 100% Stengel. From multiple heartline Rolls, that mini-Stengel Dive element, and that classic Stengel Cobra Roll. Not to mention it being a fairly unique design for something built by B&M.
And those videos were indeed done by Keith McVeen, though I dont think he does much with his badnitrus site anymore, he started his own company called VIP productions, and has done quite a few official projects so far, most of outstanding quality (SFGAm's SUF drawing left something to be desired in my opinion)
