PKI and PCW announced their new attractions for 2005 today. Sounds very interesting, but specifics are not currently available.

They made that big of a deal for an overly themed car ride?

It will include 2 launches. I'm still trying to figure out who is making this though. It looks like something from Intamin, but I doubt it. I think it will be a neat ride if it is anything like the promo video.

Premier likes to do the double launches (Mummy).

Premier did the launch for Flight of Fear at PKI, so it may be from them. According to the website for the ride, it will have themed sounds and music inside each Cooper car. Sounds like Rock n' Rollercoaster, maybe Vekoma combined that concept with their launch system from the Booster Bikes.

Time will tell, hopefully its a Premier launch.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

I think it is Premier now. Actually, I think that can be confirmed now that I think about it.(Intamin doesn't do stuff like that.)

Ugh, when is PKI going to learn. We need a Beemer. But, this ride does look pretty cool. Hopefully its not a kiddie ride, if you know what I mean.

According to Shaggy over at Coasterbuzz(He's in the PKI know 8) ),

Italian Job will be from Premier. It will take the place of the Antique Car ride in the Coney Mall area. From what he said, PKI does not have any immediate plans to re-locate the cars for '05, and also that the park will try to salvage as many trees as possible from the area.

Other than that, height should be less than 100ft, and rumors on the top speed vary, from 40-60mph. No inversions.

I can't wait to try this out next year! It looks like an awesome ride! :)
Finally Coaster Season!!

Beast, quit complaining. Watch the promo. This rides going to be freakin awesome. Paramount parks are trying to have more of a movie studio park feel with this ride and the new websites and stuff. This rides gunna b tight.

Its gonna have a launch into a giant triple helix that looks like wizzers lift but banked and themed to a parking structure, drop off the backside, swirve through traffic, then past billboards and street signs, and escape explosives and a helicopter, but launch into a dark tunnel that looks like a giant storm drain or somethin, then come out of it and drop into a pond.

Was I complaining? Not exactly. I said the ride looked cool and will be good ride. Atleast the ride is a steel coaster, because thats what PKI needs. Hopefully the capacity on this ride is pretty good. It look to be so though.

Why the heck wouldn't it? It runs on a coaster track, it just looks like mini coopers and has a bunch of theming around it.

There was a movie (which I can only assume was made by Paramount) that came out in 2002 I believe called The Italian Job. Good movie, too.

I have Italian Job on DVD. Mark Wahlberg and Ed Norton are in it. Edward Norton plays a complete jerk I might add.

Dang, the cars are themed around mini Coopers. I was hoping they would be themed around Uma Therman.
