That's why I made the link there.

Giant Drop could have a lot cooler name. It really doesn't play along with it's theme at all. I like that sign out in front of it that says Ore Excavator. It would be a kind of dumb name, but the sound of it is cool.

Let's look at it this way: Orleans Place has only 3 rides in it, Condor, Rue La Dodge, and Superman. One of those makes sense in a New Orleans themed area. Can you guess what it is?

I rather have a Superman and Condor than three Orleans names anyway. I think that the GP would think the same way. The same thing with BTR. Do people want a ride themed after a shark, or do they want it after a WB character? Amusement parks are entertainment.

True, however, there is a batman clone called "the Great White". And it would be weird if V2 was called "the Electric Eel"

I heard you the first time.(and you seem to be more curious about my posts than anybody elses.)

Ok. Batman: The Ride(namewise) is pointless to me because I don't like any ride name with the name "The Ride" in it. They would have been better off naming it Batman. That's what everyone calls it anyways. I know it is a stupid answer, but that is what I feel is wrong with the name. Go ahead make jokes, you will do that for whatever I would've posted. :x

Yes, I know my name is DejaVu The Ride, but that is more of a joke than anything. It is funny this topic came up.

Rule Le Dodge is the Orleans name of those three, but think of things this way. Mardi Gras used to be Orleans and still are pretty much the same theme. They have Ragin' Cajun, King Chaos, Big Easy Balloons, and Jester's wild ride. All of these are at least somewhat related to New Orleans. Personally, I don't see why they used the name Condor. It goes with the ride, but it relates more to California then New Orleans.

Isn't Condor the ride type name? How original. :)

^ I still think that they should take out Condor, or move it to somewhere else in the park. They should bring back the Delta Flyer/Eagle's Flight and put the station there. Maybe they could put Condor in the SSA area. That seems like a place to put rides that use trade names.

Yes Giant Drop is very lame, but people remember it .

Hellevator's good for Fright Fest but not real appropriate for the regular season in my opinion. I like Matts idea of Dynamite Drop with the paint and the fuse and it would work well, if it was in County Fair or something.

Condor fits now with SUF because in my opinion they are both "flying" rides. I never thought of Giant Drop being lame. I guess it's brown so it fits with SWT. However, the mine never made sense. They were trying to fulfill the "mine" aspect in the park, without putting another rollercoaster in.

Well no that doesn't make so much sense just because it's so close to sst. If you were making a joke then I was just making a joke serious. It's something I do just becausethat's the way I am.

If you guys are gonna bit** about Giant Drop's name well I don't mean to brag about myself, but here's an idea: they move giant drop between Iron Wolf and American Eagle and call it tower trouble make it about 25 feet taller. That way it will be farther from SST so sfgam doesn't look so bad.

What does moving the giant drop have to do with its name?

:) I also agree about Giant Drop being a poor ride name. It uses a plain adjective. Giant! wow. They should have named it tall drop, or large drop!
