Let us know how your day at the park was.

Wow what a fun day I and my party had! Weather was great! Not to Crowded.

Here is a list of rides and attractions me and my party visited today:

Start time 10:15 am

1) The Orbit - Normally I like to start the day with the Wizzer. Wizzer was closed so Orbit ended up starting the day of fun.

2) Demon - I have been riding this one since it was the Turn of the Centry and I still love it! It was even better, the fact that it was a walkon ride.

3) Great America Raceway - Varooooommmm.

4) Revolution - Barffffff ... I dont like to spin but the kids liked it :D

5) Eagle Backwards - No wait walked right on.

6) Eagle Forwards - Still no wait so you might as well go forward too :D

7) Batman - 25 min wait. Was not that bad. I have waited 2 hours for this before.

8 ) Whirligig - swings..... weeeeeeee

9) Jesters Wild Ride - ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz...... huh.. oh Its time to get off.

10) Andy Martello Juggler - This guy was not bad he worked the crowd well.

11) Mardi Gras Parade - Beads, beads, and more beads. If you are walking around the park wondering why everyone has beads. be at Orleans place at 12:30 or 4pm on weekends and you will have beads too. I think we got over 20 of them....

12) Columbia Caroisel (top) - ahhhh horses go up and down.

13) Lunch - Lunch in the car. Had a cooler of sandwiches and drinks and snacks.

14) Hometown Fun Machine - Nothing better to help that digestion of lunch...

15) Wizzer - Yeah it was open. 20 min line. They where running 3 cars ith one of them empty. It slowed down the line BIG time. the car was filled with sandbags. They must be getting it ready for the season.

16) Viper - 30 min line. FUN!!!! This is a great roller coster!!! Got some awsem air.

17) Raging Bull - 20 min wait. I love this ride! If you want to know why... go on it yourself... you will understand.

18 ) River Rocker - Row Row Row your boat.

19) Giant Drop - I didn't go on this one. The kids did. I just love watching the people when they get off... its to funnie.

20) Deja Vu - Got lucky here.. We were getting ready to walk over to V2 and saw a test car start up. We asked the guy at the gate if it was opening up. He said maby in 30 min to please line up. We where like 10th in line. 15 to 20 min later we where on the 1st train out. This was my first time on this one and now it is Official. I HAVE BEEN ON ALL ROLLER COSTERS AT GREAT AMERICA SINCE 1978. Now we need Ragin Cajun to open so I can check that one off (hopefully in a week or too).

5pm time to go home... Kids have school tomorrow. Also I didn't think I could walk anouther step. Let me know what you think of my TR. If you like it I will continue to post them through out the season.

I like your trip report, it's good to get some humor on here.

Nice, I'm glad that you managed your first ever ride on DeJaVu, and riding every rollercoaster since 1978 is quite a feat. Not too many, if any of us can boast that kind of a record.

I like the sound effects. Makes the TR fun to read. Aero I know Chitown can boast all coasters since "76" (if i'm not mistacting). I'm only missing Gulf coaster.
Waiting to fill this space with something stupid to say!

Thanks for the feedback!

I have been going to the park since 1976. There was a kids coster that was there that only lasted for a year. I was only 5 then and at that time I was to scared to even think of riding roller costers. Bumble bees was scary enough for me... .

I wish they never pulled out Z-Force. That one was my fav :D . I may have to take a trip out to SFMM to ride it again.
I also miss the Tital Wave. That was the only upside down roller coster that had no overhead bar. All you had was a seat belt and lap bar.

My 1st roller coster ever rode was Wizzer (Willard's Whizzer). My 1st upsidedown roller coster was Chicago Loop at Old Chicago.

Dmrbug.

If you want to re-live Tidal Wave again, just head on down to SFKK where the exact coaster is operating (under a different name of course)

And yes, I can boast riding every coaster at SFGAm throughout its history. Man, that makes me sound old. :)

I noticed you mentioned Old Chicago. If you want a detailed history of this park, Paul Drabek at Negative G has a section filled with pics, history, etc. of this park. Click below. Its well worth the read.

I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Chicago Loop didn't that go around the paratrooper ride there? Or right next to it? Went there once and I sorta remember that. It's still operating at Canobie Lake Park in NH under Canobie Corkscrew FYI.

It's a flat ride that look like parachutes (they are steel)that go around in a cicle at a angle like the one on the boardwalk at Indiana Beach.

I can't rember that one.... I do rember the end of the ride you turned around a small carnivel show. and past the ride that had the floor that droped down as you stuck to the wall.
