This topic is meant for anyone to say what they want for shows next year, or what they would like to see change in the entertainment department for 2014. I figure making a separate topic about show content will keep the Goliath thread on topic.
Since we already know that igNight will not be returning next year, Screams and Dreams is done with, and they didn't do a thing where you could vote for the Grand Music Hall show for 2014, we are left with not much of an idea on show content.
Personally, I'd like to see next year:
Grand Music Hall: Silver Screen, Broadway, or Chicago 1920
Afternoon Parade: Anything but the Six Flags Party
County Fair Stage: A revue with singers singing the top 10 Billboard songs for that week (that kinda sounds cool)
Nightly Show: Bugs Bunny Starlight Spectacular or a new type of show (parade included)
I would also like to see the acapella group back (especially if Hometown is converted back, meaning return of the gazebo)
Before you decide to criticize my ideas, please note that show content actually means alot to me. I don't just go the SFGAm for coasters, I also go for Hurricane Harbor and the shows.
Non show related I would think it would be cool if they brought back the trolleys, providing transportation to HS, CP, OP, and MG during the same operating hours as the Scenic Railway. I CAN DREAM
Consecutive Trips Riding X Flight: 92 SFGAm Lifetime Trips: 104
I really want something in the SW Amphitheater. I know they used to have a circus, but I would love to see the return of stunt shows. The old WB Western Stunt show looked amazing from what I've seen, and even something on half the scale of that would be great. I just hate seeing that amphitheater which could take hundreds of people off of the midways sit empty year after year.
I'd also like to see a proper daytime parade. They could use the Looney Tunes floats in the afternoon and then the Glow floats at night.

Grand Music- 1920's Gangster Musical (Yes I'm taking from my Wishlist) Pictorium- Alien Adventure (Wishlist) Snowshoe Taphouse- Some Country Show? Afternoon Parade- Never Saw It County Fair Stage- Juggling/Balancing Show? Nightly Show- Glow In the Park Parade (Wishlist)
SW Rocking Amphitheater- Pirate Stunt Show? Kidzopolis Stage- Karaoke with 100 New Songs!
There is now way they will have a Goliath documentary ready for next season. They are going to be much more concerned with having the actually ride ready. Keep Da Offbeats and Kick It Up for sure. They can update with new songs and some script changes but both shows are great and should be kept. I want to see a stunt show in South West Amphitheatre. Pirate would work well. I would really like to see Superman/Batman stunt show when the movie comes out. I do not see it as feasible to put money into a stunt show for 2014 however. This off season they are putting money into Goliath. After a season or 2 they will have the money from the big crowds coming out to see it and then we will see more money put into new shows, rides, ect. For now Goliath is going to be their biggest concern for sure.
I would love to see some type of 3D IMax experience in the pictorium. And I would like to see show in both the SW Ampitheater and the Wilderness Theater. The Wilderness Theater is close to Goliath so maybe we would see some type of David and Goliath show (?). Lastly, there was a man and a woman in Hometown square who would play the acoustic version of popular songs, and I would like to see them back cause they were fantastic.

That won't happen unfortunately, it provides an entertainment venue in a part of the park that lacks it with Kidzopolis being there. As much as we want it gone, they'll keep relocating it.
Where should the stage even go at this point? The only spot I can think of that would benefit from it is where the Coca Cola cool zone used to be, but I believe that that's an access point for driving cars into the park so I don't see it going though. Our midways aren't huge either and plopping it down randomly can create a roadblock on busy days. Hopefully this will be it's last move so they can give it a more permanent set up.
Here are my best guesses: Pictorium: Old Screams and Dreams replays (like the same kind of promo they did in the Grand Music Hall last year with two shows, but advertise the three different time periods for each of the volumes)/Marvin the Martain/Shallow Seas Grand Music Hall: Reflections OR Dancing in the Streets (not both, I think they did two last year to see which would be a better fit for this year.) Southwest: My guess is that the Ampatheater will remain empty again, except for special events and that the gun show will come back. Of all the times I've walked through SWT, I've never once seen the gun show going on… Kidzopolis: Karaoke or a show like The Hype Girls from the street. I'm not too sure how appropriate that show would be for that area but SFGAm usually recycles shows, especially those that were produced specially for them and only used for one year. Mooseburger Lodge Theatre: I've never seen this one either but I'd guess that it will be the same country show it always is (which doesn't make sense, it should be placed inside southwest in my opinion). Mardi Gras: Looney Tunes show, most likely Madcap Mardi Gras to fit with the theme Parade/Pre-Show: I would love to see them bring back the pre-show for Bugs Bunny's Starlight Spectacular. That show was always a good pre-show and really embodied a fun, nighttime party feel. I also think that shows with characters are more fun! As for the parade, I would expect to see them use the old floats that are now only used for fright fest parades. New floats cost A LOT of money and the ones that they have now are in relatively good condition for their age (as it seems). I doubt that Glow in the Park will return, but I could also see that happening or them combining floats. Edit: On a separate side-note regarding Fright Fest shows, I would love to see them add the female vocal part from The Monster by Rihanna and Emineim (just not the Emineim rapping part) to a show, mostlikely Dead Man's Party or Full Moon Rocksplosion.
Kick it up is one of my fav shows. I would love to see a swa show but I agree that prolly isnt happening. Screams and Dreams replays would be cool and I could see happening.
The entertainment this year seems rather disappointing. Personally, I would rather cool off on a hot summer day watching Pop Fusion as opposed to Reflections.
I wonder if they decided not to bring back the County Fair stage. I know they said they would find a new spot for it, but there's nothing listed for it (although I don't think it's show last year was ever listed online.) Hopefully the gunfight comes back too, or at least something in SWT. I think that's the area of the park that needs entertainment the most.
The Making of Goliath is a pleasant surprise though. I'm just wondering if they'll wait until it's done before showing it or if it's all going to be construction footage.

I'm pretty sure the ride will be completed by opening day. Maybe not all the theme but the ride. So it just won't be open until the twenty fourth. If they do have it showing up to then, it will just convince people to come for it's opening that wasn't planning to before.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)

You actually saw the show right? You do remember how pitchy some of the singers could be? What they needed to do was turn the volume down, get people that could actually sing (though some were good), the performers themselves needed to stop fighting each other for vocal superiority, and lastly they needed to pick appropriate songs for their ranges. They need to bring back Tribute To The Stars yes it was done hired out but they could actually sing and it was actually good!
