A Zac Spin would be cool but the capacity would be horrendous and as someone has pointed out they also have issues. (I smell another Deja Vu). And having the ferris wheel visible from the highway in Mardi Gras??? You Cant even see Superman from the highway, Iit would have to be like 300 feet tall like the original built for the worlds fair. If I remember correctly you used to be able to see Sky Whirl From County Fair if you had a good eye on the highway. Max Air absolutely not CP's has a huge footprint, besides Revy is the same thing just smaller. A Disko would be cool but again I think too Big for the Space. I am putting my vote in (yes again) for the return of Sky Whirl. Also ABSOLUTELY NO SKY SCREAMER IT IS JUST WHIRLIGIG ON STEROIDS PEOPLE!
Completely agree RBRule, that space is so finite and landlocked around the sides (Rapids, Covered Bridge, Entrance to Picnic Grove) that there are only a hand full of attractions that could go in that area. The Anderson managment doesn't seem to mess around, when something comes out at Great America it's replaced by a very marketable capital attraction. Riptide Bay, X-Flight and Goliath, Based on the pattern of this managment, it will more than likely be another major marketable attraction. The best guess I can come up with is a ZacSpin or a Ferris Wheel, both which would fit in that area without having to completely tear up the existing entrance and exit and line.
I'm now thinking that whatever goes there will most likely be a flat. Unless, they find success in finding a really small and compact coaster to fit that area nicely. I'm now thinking a premier launch like SFDK has wouldn't be too bad either (if they found a way to accommodate AT LEAST 24 riders per train or did a two train, mini spaghetti bowl.

The closest we're gonna get to having Sky Whirl return, is a Sky Screamer using the same name.
As for Cajun's replacement, I'd just like to see a nice flat ride take it's place, which is thankfully something the new management has actually been buying! I'm hoping for a Zamperla Air Race, but I could see us getting flyers now that they've bought a few of them. I'm indifferent about a Sky Screamer and I don't really care for ferris wheels, but either of those would still be fine as well.
Speaking of removal, when I rode it on closing day, they seemed to be getting a head start on some things. The tool box by the fence that says Ragin' Cajun on it was gone, and I also saw employees stripping the C.O.W. signs and ride instructions off the wall and placing them under the control panel...

Tell that to Cedar Point or Kennywood or Knott's or Dorney Park or Thorpe Park that all have a Frisbee type ride and Screaming Swings
A coaster would be nice a high capacity one but doesnt take up a lot of room. Even an indoor New orleans themed Sally dark ride would be a good addittion to that spot specially when all the coasters are closed when its raining outside.
This may sound really dumb (like that's ever stopped me before ), and I know it would be a pretty redundant as well as and lateral move in terms of capacity, but is it out of the realm of possibility for RC to be replaced with a Gerstlauer spinning coaster like Joker from Six Flags Mexico? They have similar footprints and the theming looks very Mardi Gras. Just a thought...
