It's right in the code of the programming of the ride, the park has no way to turn the trim off without reprogramming a good part of the operating system. If the ride senses the train right at the proper speed then it wont hit and you might take the ride with an extra 1-2 mph above the normal trimed speed, but that wouldn't make much difference.
The only time it truly ran with no trims was media day and Q101 night the night before the ride opened to the public when the ride was being run from a laptop rather than the operating panel and there were no trims at all, at the top of the drop(which is never used) the 3'rd hill, block brake and the final trim. And even at full speed with none of those trims, the ride had a little better airtime, mainly in the front row of the train, but the difference wasn't really all that spectacular, especially the further back you sit.

As for why it ran in the morning, perhaps Maintenance parked it in the wrong spot last night and had to run it to get the other trains on.
^^Yah true? But we got here around 930 and they were running all 3 trains until about 10 mins before park opened and then switched out red train and ended up opening raging bull like 1015.....why would they run it so long?
I visited the park for the first time this year on Tuesday. It was mostly a visit to finally give X Flight a whirl or two, but we gave V2 and Raging Bull a lap each as well.
There was the 2 train operation that was mentioned earlier (yellow and teal), and ridiculously, a grouper assigning rows at the top of the station house stairway. We were assigned the middle, but we stepped off to the side for a moment so we could get row 9. I'm not sure what it was- it could have been a combination of the refurbished teal train, not being stapled by the ride crew, and riding it just as it was cooling down outside after a scorcher of a day, but this was the best lap I've had on this ride in recent memory- it probably would have ranked among the best laps I've ever had if I kept track of such things. I'm absolutely not someone who throws praise around over nothing- in fact, I think I've been pretty clear how disappointing and unfortunate I think this ride is after the first drop. The camelback, the banked turn/drop over the station area, the drop off the MCBR, the bunny hop, the turn that wraps around the first drop were bliss. The trim on the camelback was I've had rides in the past where some of these elements deliver, but it's pretty rare for me to happen upon a ride where all of them deliver- in spades. I didn't even want to take another lap on it afterwards in case it wasn't as good and tarnished the glory of that first lap.
Yes, the trim was hitting. I know, it makes sense just like 2+2=5 makes sense.
Starting to think maybe running 3 trains on the weekends was a bad idea. Because neither of the last 2 weekends were that busy, and I know July 3rd is always slammed, and now that the fireworks are back, so is July 4th.
I can't believe that it is this far into the season and they still only have two trains running. Its really disappointing. The line for bull has been unbearable the 3 times I have gone this year.
I was in line for Bull yesterday when they added the third train (red). It was around 2:30 when they added it on. I was actually kind of surprised they added the third train because it was not that crowded at all yesterday. But it was nice because Bull was pretty much a walk on the rest of the afternoon. Overall, yesterday was a great day to be at the park. X-Flight was only about a 10 minute wait at some points in the afternoon. From that, you can assume how the rest of the lines were for everything else.
I don't know how people don't get that it's almost a 100 degrees outside, and thus there shouldn't be that many people at the park especially the regular park. Plus, Six Flags is even advertising go to the waterpark during the day, and than go to the coasters at night. I would like to hear from the "waterpark people" that have visited it in these really, really hot days. It has to be mobbed for the people that even have went to the park itself.
For me, I don't mind the heat. Sure, I need a lot of water and whatnot, but a lot of people almost feel like they can't survive in 90 degree weather, not to mention 100 degree weather. And the people that do are probably going to go the waterpark. I think the reason why the water rides might not be that packed in this hot weather either is because most of the people coming on a 100 degree day are going to the waterpark when it opens. The water rides are more for the regular park people in which there shouldn't be that many on a 100 degree day. Weather like this hurts Six Flags attendance, and that's why they always say oh the weather is cause for so many less people at the park.
Next week, there are some 80 degree days, and than the park should be more balanced. If the park isn't getting good attendance those 80 degree days, than you know that people just aren't coming to the park this year.

Well the waterpark was packed and filled to capacity on July 4 that some poor people had to wait at the entrance in 100 degree weather to get in. Bull had 3 trains the dry park was empty in the afternoon but got busy when HH close. All rides where open except some closed down for a while but reopened later. Batman,Superman, V2 got the worst wait time as always. Eagle run red and blue of course blue always win. The fireworks display was really good crowded day and really hot but a great day.
Honestly in my opinion, with or without the train, the line usually ends up being a short wait. The bull line always looks missleading. I got in when it was coming out the entrance and it was only about a 20 minute wait. The only way you can tell if it'll be a long wait is if it goes through both the weaving sections of the queue.
It still loads fast and wait teams seem pretty short, to me at least.
Xlight total rides: 50 times and in every row except front row left wing.
Today's Bull crew sent this train out with rows 3, 4, 7, and 8 are EMPTY. Row 5 only has 1 rider, row 6 only has 2 riders. There are queues open. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! This train is less than half full.
