Six Flags All-Season Dining Pass

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby scott2608 on January 5th, 2012, 8:10 am
I received a email survey that they may do this seems like a good deal if you visit many times.

Eat at the park every time you visit – all season long – for a one-time cost of $49.99

The Six Flags All Season Dining Pass allows you to eat both lunch and dinner at the park every time you visit in 2012 for one low price of $49.99 ! Each time you visit you’ll get two entrees, two sides – and you’ll receive a free Six Flags sports bottle ($14.99 value) that you can fill again and again (all season long) for just 99 cents a refill. Here are the key details of the program:

• You get lunch and dinner every time you visit
• Each meal comes with an entrée and a side order of your choice
• There are multiple restaurants to choose from conveniently located around the park.
• You can redeem your meals any time while the park is open (open to close).
• You’ll also receive a Six Flags sports bottle you can fill (and refill) with soda for only 99 cents -- as often as you want, all season long.

I was hoping they'd do the free drinks option. Carrying around a Sport Bottle is really inconvenient, not to mention the risk of theft while riding. Still though, as many times as I bought food last year its worth it even without the drinks.

^ They give you small cups at most locations now. Plus I usually get soda with my meals.

They seem to be giving out different prices, probably to see how much people are willing to pay. When I first took the survey it was listed at $69, but when I went to check just now it was $39.

I took the survey too and it was also 69.99. To which I said a resounding no. Also said they should drop the sports bottle thing, and just include a couple of regular beverages on it too. I'm not a soda or over sugared juice drinker, so that would just be more of a souvenir and not really provide any worth in the beverage department to me.
Push down, then pull up. Exit to your left/right. And, enjoy the rest of your day at Six Flags! Your friendly enthusiast Kyle.

so has it been confirmed yet if they're going to do this? Because that would be totally awesome. I would pay for something like that.

Definitely a good deal - I mean considering other places like Busch Gardens do an all you can eat for $29.99/day .. they should do something like this.

Definitely a nice benefit for people who go alot. I would prefer just fountain drinks. NO need to carry that damn bottle around every time. Unless they give you a new bottle each visit in which I will proceed to just throw out lol

I guess the one thing that could make or break it for me is if this is only implemented at the restaurants run by Six Flags. If it can't be used at the food court it's not something I would be interested in because the last time I got a meal made by the park, was in the early 2000's. I don't really know how restaurant chains run inside the park work, but this not including them would take away alot of its value to me.

I got this survey a while ago and they had a few packages thought up and kept asking my opinion of the deals. This seems like an okay deal, I can't remember all the info in it though. I would prefer something like this, but have it include a regular fountain drink with it instead of the souvenir cup. I don't want to carry that with me every time I'm there. I went a lot after work last season and would use the dinner option of this quite a bit, and one drink at a meal would suffice for me.

I guess if you go a ton, this is a good deal considering one meal runs around 10-12 bucks. But man, that is a lot of really bad food over the period of a season.

If the "better" food in my opinion was available with this, I would get it. However, I really doubt that it's going to be part of this. By "better" food for me, I'm talking about the deserts / snacks. The glazed Pecans are really good (even though I didn't have them last year), the Funnel Cakes are okay, and than you have Dippin Dots. These aren't lunch and dinner meals, so I doubt they would offer this stuff. However, if this is just pizza, beef, and chicken, forget it. The pizza when I had it is nothing special, the beef was bad, and for chicken, I rather go Boston Market.

Wow amazing deal. I was wondering why something like this was never created before?? The price is amazing. So basically you would have to go a couple of times in order to get your money's worth of the dining pass. I'm sure they will offer some season pass combo which would include 1 regular season pass, 1 dining pass, and 1 season parking pass. The triple play combo! lmao. Yes the dining pass sounds like one of their best ideas but their restaurants are somewhat poor health choices. Junky cafeteria food+walking around waiting and riding coasters doesn't sound like the best day. I'm assuming you would only be allowed one meal per day per pass? Would there be exceptions...like you can't get snacks or desserts like funnel cake, peanuts, nachos, pretzels, churros, etc because those arent really meals?

^The top states lunch and dinner each visit.

I would almost guarantee there would be no snacks on the plan. Those are their largest money makers, along with soda.

Is this an email that was sent to all people that subscribe to "In the Loop" or just a random smattering of season pass holders?

as for the idea, I'd be down for it considering my son and I go at least 2 - 3 times every month.

I got the survey awhile ago when they asked what type of dining options would you like, and what type of price would you pay. If you were signed up for Six Flags email thing than you should have gotten a survey. I don't really remember how long ago it was though. Maybe, October? I don't know...

If Six Flags' food was anywhere near enjoyable and I planned on visiting 10 times in a summer I would jump all over the offer.

Fact is there are probably only 2-3 places I'd actually want to eat at SFGAm, the rest of the restaurants have been corporatized to Papa Johns or Johnny Rockets. Sad part is, food quality at those places is so horrendous I wouldn't eat there if it were free. I can't think of one place I'd actually want to eat at SFMM. F&B has been one of the biggest problems at Six Flags for years. Up the quality of food and you can justify the price. Right now its beyond awful.

It is important to note that the price options are based off of what you enter in the first few questions about how much or how little you would pay. For instance, my girlfriend and I entered drastically different prices for what we would pay and the prices it offered us later were very different.

What we do is leave the park and go to chipotle or culvers by gurnee mills.. its cheaper and usually better than a piece of pizza that's been sitting there for a while. Just get your hand stamped and make sure you have a parking receipt if you don't have season parking..

^ That's what the park is trying to avoid....losing out on money from food/beverage purchases.

However, there isn't a focus group or survey in the world that's going to get people to buy in-park food if the quality of the products offered is only sub-par. No one is expecting 5-star quality dining, but they really lack in any kind of decent food options and have been lacking in that department for years.

Is the food really that bad? I have not truly eaten much while at the park. The occasional turkey leg (once you get past the soggy skin...not that bad), popcorn, or funnel cake. I have not tried the chicken strips, pizza, or anything else. I have had a season pass, with parking, so it has not been a huge deal to leave for meals, but the idea of a meal pass sounded like a decent deal.
