At least now all the L.A folks who frequent this forum can stop posting pictures of themselves on Vu. I'm guessing it's going to have a new name and paint job at SFNE to try and disassociate it with DejaVu.

The problem with Magic Mountain is that they have too many coasters to handle at that park, and as people have said already, it's an all year round park, but Deja Vu needs refurbing, and thus it's going to go down. Personally, I think the way people say that Revolution runs, that should have left, or how about that Arrow- Viper? I also wouldn't have invested that type of money into Superman. It originally costed $20 million, and I believe they dumped another $10 million into it. Why not just buy something like V2, or a Premier for that money?

It says in the article that it was the most unliked coaster at MM. Is this just because of the down time? I was confused by this after hearing so many people on here love it so much.

^I don't know about least liked, but it's no X2.

I rode Vu today, just in case I don't get another chance to. Do when know when she's making to trip out east?

Hahaha! Damn, that was one of my favorite things to do.

EDIT: Just read that it closes in October. But I wonder if it'll remain open for Fright Fest or if they'll shut it down at the top of the month.

Seeing that Six Flags will most likely not let Vekoma re-program this like they did at Silverwood, I see nothing but issues for it. It ran pretty flawless for Magic Mountain, but it was always down for rehab the time of year the weather wasn't as favorable and when the park didn't have as many visitors so it wasn't a complete wash-out for them.

It'll be interesting to see how well it operates next season.

In the one summer I had with Vu at SFMM the crew (of two ride ops and one grouper) usually sent out a train once every 8-10 minutes. Usually I thought the ride was down because I never actually saw it running.

I hope SFNE runs it right.

8-10 MINUTES. How often do they dispatch a V2 train and why does Vu take so long to load. Bad Crew?? I know the restraints are sort of complicated but that's still way too long. I know V2 has to wait 90 seconds but i assume Deja Vu wouldn't really have to wait. Hopefully SFNE can make this more efficient

If it's 8-10 minutes, it's the crew!! SFGAm Deja Vu had a lot of 3-4 minutes dispatches. And if they don't try something different, it's always going to be 3-4 minutes. I probably said it a million times, but the ride needs retractable seatbelts. Than, instead of the ride op announcing leave the harness in the air right before the people get in (they never listen and it's a time-waster), put a sign on most of the fences, buckle seatbelt and leave harness in the air. We will check it! If the ride-op wants to announce something, tell people that when the ride going is in the loop, and not when the train is the station. Finally, do both things at the same time like Top Thrill Dragster.

Top Thrill Dragster they tell you to just buckle the seatbelt. Don't touch the lapbar. Than, the ride op comes around ONCE, and checks your buckle, and than pushes down your lapbar. To be a little more faster for Deja Vu though, the ride-op could glance at 2 people's seatbelts at a time, and see that they are buckled and than say both of you put down your harness, and buckle it. Twice checking is NOT good! As I said before, walking wastes time. The more ride-ops walk, the worse it is. Also, it makes them more tired, but it's a huge time-waster!

If this fails it fails, but at least the park is trying to get capacity up on the ride. A HUGE time-waster for Deja Vu is people just finding the seatbelt. Some of them don't understand that they have to buckle the seatbelt because the seatbelt isn't even on the seat. It's missing. Six Flags just don't want to spend the extra money fixing that seatbelt problem. I don't know how much it costs for retractable seatbelts, but it's well worth it. Also, when you have an empty seat, with 2 retractable seatbelts, guess what. An employee only has to push down the harness. They are done than!

For our park right now, why in the world doesn't East River Crawler have retractable seatbelts. If 10 people are riding that thing, you know how long it takes the ONE employee to buckle all those seatbelts! Cedar Fair is very seatbelt crazy, but at least they are smart with their seatbelts!

The sad thing though is that Six Flags probably won't spend the extra money to do the retractable seatbelts for this ride, or change the way they do things, and thus the ride is still going to have poor capacity, and they will wonder why the capacity is not high. Than, they will take it out again.

If they are doing special sayings - spiels, sure they are fun to hear like are you ready rock, because Deja Vu is ready to roll, but the ride doesn't get sent that often (3-4 min when SFGAm had it), just forget them altogether, or say it fast when the ride-ops already gave the thumb, and the ride is in motion already.

This is a Top Thrill Dragster. It's in fast motion though, but do you see how the people have their seatbelt buckled, and the lapbar in the air. Than, the ride-ops push it down.

So, the plan according SFNE facebook pr person is for the park to get a new 4 person across train from Premier rides. If you have went on Mr. Freeze, Joker's Jinx, Mummy at Universal, Backlot Stunt Coaster, or Flight of Fear to name some, you have ridden a Premier coaster. I don't like this idea. Sure, at times Vekoma doesn't know what they are doing, but this ride needs to be a specialized train in order to fit that type of ride. It's not like moving a wooden coaster train to another wooden coaster. It holds the catchcars on it. Also, someone asked if it will have LIMs instead of cables, and the pr person said no. To me, LIMs would be bad news anyway lifting that slowy in the air. You already know the V2 trouble SFGAm has.

Also, I would assume that with a new train, hopefully they would be able to open individually rows instead of just opening the entire train, and locking it. I would like to know what's the plan though with the seatbelt around a person's waist. With the new train, are they taking that away or not?

To me, it's stupid to have both this ride next to the old model at the same park, but in a way I'm glad Six Flags is finally trying something different with Deja Vu to speed up the lines for the ride. If it fails, at least they are trying something different.

Right now in regards to the company and how I feel, Six Flags is stupid at times, but than they are smart at times. Shapiro I didn't like at all, but this company for me right now I'm very mixed about.

I always thought it would be cool it the ride used LIMS instead of the catch car. Really though, if they use the same technology Mr Freeze has then it might actually be OK. I could see having the catch car on tower 1 and LIMs on tower 2. And instead of the train being caught again on tower 1, they would use magnetic brakes into the station coming off of the cobra roll.

A boomerang next to a boomerang?

It's like they were trying to be stupid on purpose?

^Next year the Log Flumes at SFGAm will be removed so they can put an SLC right next to 2 other inverted coasters. Just guessing

I hope they don't kill this ride off. The new trains, while smart, kind of ruin the whole openness sensation. I loved going up tower 1 in the back wing seats because there was nothing around you.

Not a fan that the V arrangement is gone, even less so with the way those appear to recline. May as well have gone with Invertigo seating.

I know, I often think I could run this company better than the people who do, and I have zero experience in the theme park industry.
Another retarded move that came out. No new trains for Iron Wolf. Have fun on it DC!

DejaVu really beefs up the parks skyline. Looking great, can't wait to ride it again.

I always thought it would be cool it the ride used LIMS instead of the catch car. Really though, if they use the same technology Mr Freeze has then it might actually be OK.

I think the first Invertigo, the one at Liseburg, was originally designed to use LIMs but due to problems ended up being changed at the last minute.
