Went to the park today yadda yadda yadda nothing special.
What did happen though is my friend and I went to Raging Bull for the last ride of the night. There were two empty seats and an op called out for two riders so we went over. My friend had her drawstring back pack and couldn't get over the other riders since the restraints were locked. She handed it to the op and she put it in the wrong colored cubby. Happens though. Can't blame someone for that ya know?
We pull back into the station and sure enough... the bag is gone. We check the correctly colored cubby and the other two and no bag. The op told us that she remembered putting it in the red one so that confirmed it was stolen. We filed a report at lost and found that was completed with no hassle at all... until I remembered my cars keys were in there. Since they have a remote (and me being paranoid and very imaginative in a situation like this) I instantly pictured someone pressing the panic button and just driving away with my car. We finished up and headed to security.
Security helped us quite a bit. He (I wish would have gotten his name) got the gist of the situation and sent someone out to check on my car and make sure it was still there and hadn't been tampered with. As he was doing that, Lost & Found called my friend (within five minutes of leaving L&F) to tell her that they found the bag in a mens bathroom. He took us into his office and called up Lost & Found so he'd know what was in the bag. Fortunately for us, all they took was our cash (a grand total of $11) and my friends outdated Cybershot. Not too big of a loss considering they'll probably get less than $20 if they pawn the camera. We got everything else back, including our credit cards. Thank God we didn't get a chance to put our phones in the bag.
I do plan on sending them a nice little letter/email for all of their help.
May not be the best park to some of you, but I really appreciate everything they did to help my friend and I today!
What's a cybershot? And this is why they need cameras on the bins, and if something is gone, you can capture the people that did it. Also, a camera on the bins would deter theft. If they know they are being watched, most likely they wouldn't do it.
And how bad were the lines yesterday?

My friend got his phone stolen at Coasters After Dark... too bad he didn't realize he got it stolen until today. It was the only time we didn't buy a locker and we put our stuff in a bin.

This might sound stupid, but do they have an app that can track where your phone is at a given time, and get the people that took your friend's phone? I know it's probably too late unless you have an app.

There probably is an app for that, but he had a pretty crappy phone so idk why anyone would want it
Unless he dropped it or lost it, which also could've happen.
You got really lucky on them only taking $11 and an old camera. My guess is that it was some kids who were looking for money but didn't want to cross into grand theft auto or credit fraud. I'd have been as paranoid as you about my car though.
^^^ There is an Android app for finding your phones location, called Lookout. Its really cool it uses GPS to find it and you can make it make a loud noise if you happen to lose it in your home or something like that (even when silenced). If you happen to pay for the premium version it can also allow you to delete everything off it, if you know you won't get it back and lock it. This might be on the Iphone too I'm not sure, I have it mainly because it scans apps making sure they aren't malicious, also just in case I happen to lose my phone obviously.
