By now, we are sitting on the edge of our collective seats wondering what will Six Flags Great America be getting this year. We are all wondering will that "WaveRunnner" Floorless be installed by this May and when will that new Looping Coaster from B&M Will take the place of Shockwave. We are all badgering our various "sources" into what exactly is happening at GA, with some still 4 months to go i ask you this What are the most Ridculous Rumors of all time?
1. A new territory will be built across a 6 lane interstate highway connected by a walkway.
2. Batman the Ride will be opperating backwards in 2004
3. Deja Vu will be replaced by Sky Whirl soon
4. A 400 foot tall multi-inversion floorless coaster will be added along side AM Eagle.
5. Shockwave peices were seen "Heading South on I-57 Heading to its new home of Six Flags New Orleans"
6. Shockwave will be reinstalled as 2 rides, one called Shock and the other Wave
7. Shockwave will be reinstalled where Whizzer once stood
As you can see this list for Shockwave is as long as my arm. (3 feet)
what are the stupidest rumors you've ever heard? Post them here, and please dont beleive anything youve seen on this post because they arent going to happen.

I think the most rediculous rumors in the past 2 years have had to do with Deja Vu. Every time it has had a problem over the past 2 years people have started rumors saying it was going to be torn down.
Last off-season there was also a crazy rumor about a 4D that was being stored in the shed. Where these people come up with this stuff is beyond me.
I find that a rather rude comment , The fact is, Shockwave is NOT going to be put up anywhere else at Great America, live with that, I loved Shockwave, but its gone and ill have my memories. Thats good enough for me.
Apperently Not good enough for some people who are greedy and arent happy with what we have currently.
Think about it another way, IF SW where to be reinstalled dont you think they would have already done it? I mean Seriously.
No, but what if they haven't found another park to add it to. Just because it's on the hill doesn't mean it's comming back! Six Flags isn't going to ship a ride to storage somewhere out of the the way and then have to ship it to it's final destination (Ex. Taking it from SFGAm to sorage in Ohio then to Texas, It would be easier to go from SFGAm to Texas).
Rumors are bad remeber people I started some and from what I went through people in here used to hate rumors and most of those people are still here. Over the last year I learned that rumors suck and makes the site hard to trust with info. I think the rule should come back that "TB" thought strongly of "if it is a fact and if you have pics or its on the parks site poast it tell us abouit it, but if its a rumor its ok to talk to your friends about it but don't poast it without any info. Well I am going on so ya this is just my thought.
I agree, and if they were going to bebuild shockwave...if that was the plan from the minute they thought of taking it down, wouldn't it be smarter to keep shockwave where its at and build superman in another spot? think!

I think people need to find somthing to do until the park open and stop making rumors. Rumors = lying which is the worst habit any one could have. I am sorry but you all Know me I really don't talk much on here. All the rumors are just happening so fast. Please people THINK BEFORE YOU POST!!! thanks for lissening to me crab~
Did someone make the claim that SW IS going to be rebuilt? I simply asked the question as to whether or not anyone thought it was possible. I never said that I think it's going to happen, so I don't really think that is starting a rumor. One other thing, someone said something about SW being shut down because of a structural failure. What was that all about? I never heard anything about that. I've heard someone say something about "the accident" at the end of SW's last season, but I've never been able to find out what that meant. Does anyone have any info on these 2 items?
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.
On August 3rd, 2002, the blue train had the wheel assembly on the front car break exiting the third loop. Sparks were flying and the ride ops stopped it on the midcourse. They evacuated the ride and there were no major injuries. There is no solid proof of this but there were numerous eye witness accounts. The next day, someone took a pic of the trains on the transfer and the blue train was missing the first two cars. That is the real reason Shock Wave left. The Whizzer protest at the time was just a convinient cover up.
