There's 2 ways to look at "huge" and whatever the Shapiro 2011 plans were had nothing to do with new $25 million dollar prototypes. Like I said before, you can't just "order" a coaster and have it ready to go within a year...that's where my 3-4 year outlook comment came.....and like I said, 3-4 years ago was about trying to re-balance the books and not just spending to spend....yes you have to look ahead but it is still about predicting your projected income for the future to determine what/how much you are able to spend.
The meaning of "huge" was that all these original proposals (or whatever was supposed to happen) was to bring in something that was "new to the parks" not all "new off the production line". Granted, some parks were probably going to get new THBS clones or something to that extent...and that's considered "huge" in the grand scheme of things because every park was getting something.
I guess at this point....things can change, and I can understand treating each park "individually" but that is far from multi-million dollar coasters for everyone.

Thank you David, American eagle doesn't need to be totally revamped, and a little side note, American Eagle is about 3 times smoother than the Beast at KI.

Yep, that's right. Though no one else has for SOME UNKNOWN REASON been able to buy one from them since FOREVER, they told me I'm special and hence I could have one in my backyard for free after mail-in-rebate. Definitely true, no doubt about it. I can't wait until construction gets started on my free coaster!
Its been a while since I talked to anyone from B&M but as of probably 5 years ago, 250 feet or so was the max they were willing to look at. Basically they don't want to build anything that can't be made with proven technology, especially a lift chain, and to date there is no manufacturer that can build a lift chain that wouldn't break under it's own weight at that size.
As for the 4-D, there are rumors of it, but the same rumors say the seats would be stationary, more like the Intamin Wing Walker. I personally see nothing special with that design. Gardaland *supposedly* might get the first one next year.

Why not trying to have 2 lift chains than (as in one 150 ft, and another on 150 ft after that with a little platform up in the air to hold the base of the second one - stairs)? If they need a small separater between the two they could always have those tires.
