Opening Day MADNESS! (4/24/2010)

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby david on April 24th, 2010, 9:21 pm
Fun times; Opening Day

Well, it was an AMAZING opening day! I noticed Viper, Batman, and my precious Wolfie got far rougher. My dear Wolfie seems to have gotten MUCH worse. I do think that this is either Wolfie's last year, or it's getting Chang's trains, because they literally we're running one train, and STILL no one in line. Very very sad...

I blacked out after a five time in a row on B:TR, and then proceeded to sit down, and then go to V2. Lesson: Don't marathon B:TR five times in a row without getting up. Also, I timed the crew, 52 seconds to departure! Very well done.

Also, what's the deal with what they're dong to the air-gates, covering them with a piece of wood, what?
Now to the pictures.

Image
What a beautiful sight to see! ;(

Image
Walking into Orleans Place.

Image
Not very clear, but wheel covors were not in use on one of the trains, the other had them on.

Image
Blue train leaving the station, I must note that although much paint was used this off-season, not so for Eagle's station. It needs it though.

Image
Bull was running two trains, Red, and Yellow. I felt the crew was extremely slow, and the timer was off.

Image
Eagle through the trees.

Image
You can tell that the fog was a bit crazy, as Giant Drop is barely visible from Viper's queue.

Image
Steel vs. Wood? You decide!

Image
Surprisingly, no new Johnny Rockets this year...

Image
My memory is foggy, but were these seats here earlier, or are these from the farmer's market?

Image
Burger King for lunch, that was fun cleaning up...

Image
The train with the wheel covers!

Image
Wolfie's train. This makes me sad, I was the only one on the train at one point. :/
A vicious cycle...

Image
Nothing about chang at all, seems they put that support away, I meant that water main.

Image
Dare Devil Dive. Nothing really wonderful here. Just a sky coaster.

Image
I actually really like this new design, really nice.

Image
Magi-Quest, looking all Magi-Quest-y.

Image
Goku, was this fence up when you went?

Image
Funstruction. Says "Coming soon! Spring 2011" Not so fun. It looks like we're getting a Water Park Expansion...

Image
1) Ignore the girl...
2) Seems that two pipes were replaced. or, two pipes are yet to be replaced.

Image
Goodbye my dear! See you soon! It's only a holiday, I shall return!

Didn't really count, sorry. Also, someone needs to sue Six Flags, they're STILL USING THE CLEANEST THEME PARK IN THE WORLD BS.

"Goku, was this fence up when you went?"

Yes, it was really hard to see in my picture since I got it last-minute.

Yes, but if you look at the size of the fence area...

Could this mean that Chang is going in Wolfie's spot, or? I'm not going to start a Chang brouhaha, so I'll end this now.

There's only one thing to say on that. Chang would never fit in Iron Wolf's Footprint.
please, for once, people, don't continue to elaborate on this. Go to the Chang Watch Topic.

The crews were excellent today! When I was waiting for V2 one of the operators would call out the loading time at set intervals; the train was always ready for launch by 90 seconds.

Really 90 seconds for a shuttle coaster isn't all to well, is it?

The only crew I had beef with is Raging Bull. I think they weren't at their best because of no timer. i swear, if Shapiro was there, they'd all be gone! I'm not to sure, but I'd say one dispatch was about 2-2.5 minutes. Especially lovely when one of the crew walks to check the restraints. I really wish Shapiro would go in disguise, and catch these people. But, he HAS to wear a suit.

Also, did you notice that Batman and V2 were a bit rougher? Especially Batman?

^ Unfortunately, V2 can't dispatch a train in less than 90 seconds. The LIMS require a 90 second cool down each cycle.

Wolfie was running two trains, but it seemed like one was smoother then the other. I had to awesome rides on IW (front and back same car) and then a horrible one. Hmmm

Especially after the second loop, and what's the deal with the wood cover over the air gates?

Yeah it was after the 2nd loop, the wood over the gates is because I guess little children were sliding under the gates while waiting in line.

Pretty sure one of your pictures is actually "Viper through the trees"?
Have a take and don't suck, it's the Jim Rome Show!

Raging bull was fine, there was never a line to say they were slow, probally why they didn't have the timer on.
