Oh wow. Didn't even know it was up for sale. What's up with these coasters? They are just a big flop or what? I don't get how DejaVu at sfgam was so troublesome but, it goes to it's new park and is perfectly fine?
Have a take and don't suck, it's the Jim Rome Show!
There are 4 total Giant Inverted Boomerangs like this. Three belonged to Six Flags and one is in Madrid, Spain. Not sure if they had any issues with it there, but it is still running. And obviously the one at SFMM must be fine because it's still in operation with no signs of being taken down.
Good for Six Flags for actually selling the ride. It is much better then it just sitting around and rotting like it was. Now if they sell Ultra Twister, even better for them.
not going to get much interest in Ultra Twister when Electrical and Mechanical are listed as fair and cosmetic poor. Going to say as soon as the economy recovers a bit and material prices go up, it will be sold for scrap.
As for the DV's Six Flags modifyed the programming, when Silverwood had Vekoma redo the ride, they erased all the programming and it has worked ok ever since. Though it still has minor problems related to the design, it's nothing bad.

Six Flags Owned all of the Parks that Had a GIB, The US Ones were added in 2001. When Six Flags Saw the Problems with Deja Vu's, They Allowed Vekoma To Work out the Kinks and Problems with the Ride for WBWM, Spain which is why it runs more Consistant than the other Six Flags Ones.
International Shipping Crates is the preferred method of transit. Then those crates are either loaded onto a cargo ship or hauled by truck or train to their final destination.

What they are getting at is that if SF would have just USED the Standard Program that came with it, the ride would run more constant with hardly any breakdowns and not be a Maintenance Resource HOG! Its been running almost Flawless since it was built at silverwood other than the normal kinks and glitches from ride design
/\ Six Flags tried to use the program that "came with it," hence why it didn't open until October. Whatever the ride programming Vekoma put on Aftershock is definitley not what they originally had on DejaVu (plus Vekoma re-programmed Vu several times while it was at SFGAm and had moderate success in 07, it shouldnt surprise anyone its running well now). Also Vekoma went bankrupt after they failed with the GIB's and were bought out, the Vekoma that made DejaVu is very different from the Vekoma that made it work.
Well, so much for that- I was kind of hoping that perhaps SF would move that DejaVu to a smaller, less capacity park, like Kentucky Kingdom. With the smaller crowds and removal of Chang, I was hoping this would be a possibility, unless it was too tall for KK.
Way to tall for SFKK. Height Restrictions range from like 85 feet near Twisted Twins up to like 170 feet on the other end of the park by the Sky Coaster. Everything else is somewhere in between.

I thought the Hellavator was around 175 total feet high, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I just checked RCDB and it said that Deja Vu was over 190 feet tall. I didn't realize that- I thought it was around 170. Anyway, it would've been nice to have it at KK... not too far a drive to ride our old Tidal Wave and DejaVu, and with the small crowds, not having to wait 2 hours to ride either.
On a side note, I'm assuming the area where they were storing DejaVu was underwater with the flooding at SFOG a couple months ago. I wonder if the trains and anything else non-track-related (electrical components, motors, etc.) were affected.
Déjà Vu was 196 feet (which is how high the actual TOWER stood. That isn't how high the track is because remember there are the winches at the top which add to the height). The DROP was 178ft. Hope that clarifies that question
