$100 for a season pass to IB? I would never pay that much! I understand that the Six Flags seasons passes are a bargain, but I would never bay $100 for unlimited visits to a park far inferior to SFGAm.
^ The thing with Six Flags, no matter how stupid the idea is, uses the season pass(aka any park admission) as the parks loss leader. IB looses out on parking, Flash Pass, upcharge rides, item/locker rentals and VIP tour money. On top of that, there is no guarantee they will see the full day pass amount (cost of wrist band) for each person coming to the park. Thus, they have to charge more to justify offering it. But even then, buying a 4 pack for $49.95 each is a steal.

It looks like they are trying to prevent teens from buying the pass and hanging out there. A family season pass is $50 each, that is who they want to buy it.
^couldnt just 4 teenagers buy a pass and get it cheaper? it would promote more teenagers being there anyways.
Honestly, when i went to the parks website to figure out what ride my girl was talking about (an old chance chaos), i saw the season passes and got thrilled. I never really rode the rides there because i didnt like the ticket system and i was always constrained for time.
I always liked Indiana Beach for what it was, a park that was there to help support the area. Now with the new ownership, it seems like they are really screwing around too much.
First off I must say that I havent been there this year and only visited twice last year. Last year though the new entry way was a total joke. We had free passes since we stayed at the camp grounds. The queue line just to get into the park was confusing. The little old lady who was checking the tickets had NO idea what she was doing. Some teenager had to keep barking orders at her so she actually did it right.
The queue line for Steel Hawg was a joke, the ride was still being built and everything but i had no idea where the entry way was. Plus it looked like how our Superman does, an out of place ride built in the middle of a strange area. Just from that ride placement/initial feel i got at the park, i felt so out of place.
I know the painting of the rides has been discussed ad nauseum but i still miss the old way. The park had that "ive been around here for 100 years and will be here for another 100 feel". Now, it just feels like its trying to get to modern, like it's trying to take the spot of SFGAm or Holliday World.
Its in a pretty decent location for what it is now but, if they try to take on any of the bigger coaster parks, they will likely end up like SF corporate did. Over expansion with minimal/negative profit margins=complete failure.
I've made it my goal to go visit her this upcomming season but i hope she still envokes that memory of walking up and down the boardwalk with my ex feeling like i was in a completly different world instead of im at six flags lite
What's really funny, is that you think I'm from the GP (General Public). When indeed, I most likely know far more about the coaster, as I've rode it multiple times.
