Hmm, I would play DDR just for the music. Acually listning to techno right now. Good Stuff!SOCOM2. Only rented the first one, Loved it. I don't have an online adapter for my PS2, or DSL (thats changing tommrow ) I did just rent True Crime: Streets of LA. Its a good Idea, but the game sucks. There are about 5 types of cars (its a grand theft auto type game). Its good in the fact that all of LA is rendered in the game (yes, EVERY street). Its fun to play the 'highway sim' as I call it.If anyone cares, Desert Combat .5l was released friday. Great mod on a good game. Can't stop playing it. One of the greatest modern warefare games out there (and its free, eat that Operation Kill Saddam or whatever that game is called). http://www.desertcombat.com or http://www.dc-central.com . You need BattleField 1942 though.
Soxman wrote:Why waste the money on Tejada? Pitching win championships and the White Sox need pitching. The Sox already have power hitters in Ordonez, Thomas, Lee and Konerko. Why spend the money on Tejada?
Here's why you spend money on Tejada.....well first of all hes better then Jose and second of all he made a only $5.13 million in 2003 and he didn't have the best of seasons, so if the White Sox were smart they would have let Jose go, freeing up $5 million to spend on Tejada and have to spare around a meer $1 million to get an amazing shortstop, instead of a washed up one...well back on topic now.I haven't played Socom 2 and I don't have GameCube, but I really can't wait to play Mario Kart Double Dash it looks like its even better then Mario Kart 64, of thats even possible.
Are you crazy! Tejada will get at least 7-9 million from the free agent market. Plus the White Sox will be in bidding wars with the Yankees, (Want him at second base and trade Soriano) Cubs, Angels, Oakland, Mets, Phillies, Orioles, and Padres. All those teams are interseted in Tejada and a bidding was will take place. For a person that claims they know baseball you really have your priorities out of whack. 7-9 million dollars will get you two decent 3-4 starting pitchers, which the White Sox need. I am not saying that Valentin is a better player because he isn't, but Tejad does not fit into the budget of needs.Kenny Williams has stated that he will look at Tejada and if the price is right he will make a move on him. He will not get into a biddig war for him though. Then Williams could move Valentin very easily to tems like Baltimore, Oakland, or the NYM. But I really do not see that happening.Look at the Marlins and Angels. They have won the World Series and they didn't spend a lot of money. Teams do not have to spend millions on the best players available to win.Back after the 2001 season everyone was saying that if the Yankees got Jason Giambi (Best Free Agent) that the Yankees will continue to win it all. Well, the Yankees have not won a ring for Giambi or even Mussina. With the way you want to spend money are you sure you are not a closet Yankee fan
All the Sox are going to get is Sidney Ponson, if they get him thats their best bet. I still stand by my Tejada over Jose and I'm, not saying in the talent part(thats obvious) I'm talking about value. Even if Tejada would cost them upwards of $9 millions which I dout he will, then with Jose gone that would be $4 million over the cost of Jose, which I don't think is to much. And the Sox obviously have money to spend, it showed when they offered Bartolo $33 million over 3 years. Just admit that Tejada would've been a good desicon already. And no Kenny William's stupid a$$ isn't going to purse him if the price is right, remember he is part of the WHite Sox organization.
Kenny Williams is that stupid to go after him. Remember that this is the man that traded for Royce Clayon, David Wells, Todd Ritchie, and Billy Koch. Now I like Koch and just think that he had a dead arm from being used so much in 2002, but Kenny Williams is not afraid to pull the trigger. (Koch to the Mets for Cedeno?) I have already stated Tejada is better talent wise than Valentin and of course he would be a great pick up for a team with good pitching, but the Sox do not have good pitching.Williams has long wanted Jeff Weaver and Sidney Ponson and I believe, as much as I hate Weaver, the sox will end up with both of them. My only hope is that Ponson will perform better back in the American League and Weaver will perform better out of New York.
