It ain't easy being a credit whore :)

Let us know how your day at the park was.

So, I went to this little place in Albuquerque, New Mexico called It'z Family Food & Fun Center. Since we did Cliff's yesterday we figured one more credit couldn't hurt

They have one credit there called Miner Mike, which you can see in this short video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1qizMAyjrg

Its basically a buffet, and lots of arcade type games and "thrill rides" But we were in and outta there in less then 10 minutes. It was actually really clean and looked really nice on the inside.

The lady at the register bended the rules a little bit, and just put enough points on the card for me and my sister to ride once, when we were suppose to buy them in packages. It's not easy being a credit whore :D

By the way, Its $1.25 for a ride on Miner Mike

Heres a few pictures from It'z

Not worth another wacky worm credit

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Just imagine if Chuck E. Cheese had a coaster in each of their establishments.

The credit whoring would be really out of control. :)
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Except then everyone except me (I don't bother with most kiddie credits) would be at 603, and most of them would be crappy dragon wagons, miner mikes and wacky worms. Now I have my fair share but as an example, except for Safariland due to a post NCC stop with a group of people, I haven't ridden any of the chicago area FEC coasters.

And I would be cursing the "must have someone under 15 to enter" rule even more then now  That rule prevents my fiancee and I for stopping in at the Gurnee one to play Roller Coaster Tycoon pinball for a quarter a game.

Fun trip report. Nothing like a random Family Fun Center to blow a half hour or so.

Think of Credit whoring like this. Every time you go to a FFC or small park with a kiddie coaster, you are giving the place business.

I will say, if you have a kids party to plan, have it at the Arlington Heights Go Bananas. The manager there is amazing. They have a refund policy if you kid does not enjoy the place and they asked us multiple times how our visit was. The staff there was just great, even to 2 credit whores in their 20's :D

The main thing though, I don't necessarily see the importance of track records, the only time I think they come into play is if someone comes up to me and says something like, Wild Thing at VF! is my #1 coaster, or Raging Bull is my #1. Then I always work into the conversation what their TR is, and it will usually be something like 20-40, and then their opinion is immediately discredited. Now if Chuck E Cheese had a coaster at every location, then those same people would be able to say their TR is over 100. Then if I hadn't ridden either Wild Thing or RB I might think they know what they are talking about and do a trip to SFGAm or VF! and be hugely disappointed on both counts.

Awesome TR, I love credit whoring at FECs as it always makes for funny stories. Also this place looks just like John's Incredible Pizza Company.

Ever consider doing trips without your mom? Also don't underestimate the effectiveness of day trips, sure going somewhere like World's of Fun on a day trip may well take over 24 hours but can be done.

Coaster snob much? Image

However I can't say I disagree. Not that I think one's opinion can be invalid, I think it really speaks to the quality of whichever ride if someone who is "well traveled" says it's they're favorite versus someone who's count is relatively low

Although I'd say if your top ten has more than 3 coasters from one park your opinion should be discredited because either you haven't ridden enough coasters to even bother with a top ten or you are a fanboy (or both)
