Hey everyone. This report for, for now, will be short as I am at Burger King using their wi-fi. I will have photos up this week at some point.
The day was outstanding. Was able to ride every coaster in the park. American Eagle Blue side started running in the last 90 minutes of the park opening and was basically unlimited re-rides. Raging Bull was about the same in the last half hour.
The truly fun part of the day was being stuck at the top of the lift spiral on Whizzer for 5-10 minutes. Basically, the motor cut out and we were stuck at the top on the side of the station. They sent a worker up to "keep us company" and tell us we would not be walking down. A few minutes later, we were off and running, but not before I got some fun pictures taken while stuck. They even gave us a free drink coupon for our troubles.
Overall, it was an outstanding day and well worth any cool weather to enjoy the park almost empty.
I got a free drink coupon for getting stuck on Cajun on Friday for 15 mintes. I felt ripped off. Last year when I was stuck on Demon for 30 mins, my boyfriend and I both got 2 drink and 2 cut to the front of the line coupons. maybe they're saving them until they see how smoothly things go this year.
My friend and I were heading over to ride the Whizzer yesterday and we saw that it was stuck on top when we got there. So we rode Triple Play in the meantime.
So, V2 must have been fun. lol I seen Whizzer stuck there while walking by.

Aw, I wish we would have stayed the last half hour. I had no idea the blue side had opened. Would have stayed longer if my boyfriend wasn't so difficult.
In line for AE, we saw a guy lose his sports bottle and try about 3 times to retrieve it by climbing right over the "Danger Zone, High Voltage. You Life is at Risk" sign. His wife pulled him down so I assume and hope that he was dead drunk. Still don't know if he was caught and ejected but I hope so.

Jumping over some of those fences or lines aren't really dangerous. I'm not going to do those things ever though, but they are just worried about people like what happened on Ninja, Batman the Ride, and oh Batman the Ride again at the same park twice (SFOG). It's like for when we had Deja Vu. If that ride was still at the park, they would put that it's dangerous, but yet the regular employees are walking when the ride is going outside the line.
Back to American Eagle, it's kind of high up off the ground. Is V2 really dangerous to go in a lake? I wouldn't say so, but again they don't want accidents to happen, and people shouldn't be outside the lines anyway. Get an employee if you lost something to do it.

Employees dont go into the padlocked-fence areas while the ride is running. They are trained on how to lock the ride so it cant operate for when they need to go in. A lot of the areas under rides employees are allowed to walk through (even though they are outside of the guest fenced areas they are not padlocked danger zones).

I wanted to reply to this. The same day I was on one of the last rides on Raging Bull and saw someone try to jump the small fence next to the que to get a hat that flew off. I told an employee at the on-ride photo hut and their response was "ooook?" I bothered me that they did nothing and had no clue what to do.
Personally you should just let people make there own dumb decisions. And Im not saying I do it or that its right but if I see someone climb over and fence and go under a track when they are way under it and have no chance of getting hurt I wont say anything...let them get there hat then get caught. Now if I saw someone on a track I would say something.
^ It doesn't matter where in the area they are, if the sign on the fence says "EXTREME DANGER", it means "EXTREME DANGER". It only takes a couple seconds for someone to move into the path of a train if they're already in the danger zone.
Its people like this guy who are ruingin the park for future guests. Tell someone u lost ur bottle or if it was a 20oz coke just buy another, yeah the prices are a little high but is a $3.00 bottle of soda worth risking ur life over?!?
