What else would a debtor be interested in? They loaned money to SF in the form of buying PIERS and they were looking to make money off the deal in the form of interest. SF not paying out is the same as them taking the investors money and running, same as Madoff and all the other ponzi schemers out there. The debtors have no real vested interest in the company.
Also to expand alittle upon the Timberliner thing, when parks buy stuff like that, they look at 3 things. Price, the overall quality of all the companies product, and the track record of the exact product they are looking to buy. Tom Rebbie said it right at NCC, he has a new line of trains, the single bench cars, and he literally can't give a set away for free to try out on an existing ride, now if an experienced coaster vehicle maker cant give away a train of their new product, a company with a shaky record as every coaster Gravity Group has built so far requires a lot of maintenance and retracking on a yearly basis, and they have never built a train before as their own company, they have little chance of selling anything except perhaps to a smaller park where price point is the main objective, like if they package their trains with building their coasters.
Also for SFOT they have Judge Roy Scream which runs PTC's, parks like to run all the same stuff just for maintenance reasons. That was one of the main reasons Holiday World switched from Gerstlauer to PTC on Legend. They were tired of ordering parts from 2 different companies, amongst some other things they didn't care for with the G train.

"Shapiro said the company is planning on launching major attractions at all of its 20 parks that year."
Keep in mind this is 2011. To be talking that far in the future is very un-SFish, its like they have to tell people they plan on being around that long .
It's probably going to be closed for a year so they can save money by not operating it. What have they done with that SFKK coaster? Nothing. The Texas Giant to me is one of the roughest roller coasters. I think they should just bulldoze it, and get the Starliner from Cypress Gardens! They are going to fix the Texas Giant, but the ride doesn't excite me at all even if they do fix it. I'm an out and back type of person with one cyclone I like which is the Georgia Cyclone.

Keep in mind when Shapiro says "major attraction" its a very subjective term. Major attraction can mean roller coaster, but more likely it means new show, parade, old flat ride, water slide, etc.

It's a shame they don't run Twisted Twins, but it makes seance. I've heard the ride was not that good to begin with and has problems with keeping both sides running.
