Judging a ride which doesn't even have a foundation poured yet is unwise. For instance back in the day, I thought Raging Bull was going to be the be all end all of roller coasters. Looks like a solid ride from the layout.

This ride definitley wont be bad. It wont be the be all end all there because they have rides like X2, Goliath, DejaVu etc but theres no question it will be way, WAY better than the ride it replaced .
Shapiro said Six Flags Magic Mountain will be getting another roller coaster in 2010 and a Wiggles World kiddie land sometime after that
Shapiro also said that if Terminator Salvation: The Ride proves popular at Magic Mountain when it opens in May 2009, the wooden coaster would wind up at another Six Flags park in 2010.
Ms. Cleo is out of business last I heard...Oh, and by the time they are done adding rides to MM they will add another billion to their debt. They sold their Ohio purchase years ago because it was too competitive with Cedar Fair in the area they should do it with SFMM. Ridiculous amount of money being spent there every year. I'm sure they need a new coaster EVERY year. That is so like smart like really.
Because they have one of the most amazing wooden coasters on the planet, if they got a Terminator it wouldnt get such great reviews, whereas there are no good/smooth wood coasters in Southern California so it will work well there even with all those huge rides.

They sold Geauga Lake because it wasnt competetive with Cedar Point.
Too much money goes into keeping up Magic Mountain with other parks in the area. way too much. A new ride every year is ridiculous. This is why I know they simply don't care about their debt issues. They are blind and giving us a family attraction every other year or so will not make up for what they continue to do in Valencia, Ca.
Six Flags really needs to work on maintaining coasters at ALL of their parks, not just here, a certain coaster coaster at SFMM comes to mind..... remember Flashback, or some people here might remember it as Z-Force.
And just something funny that i made a connection with is Z-Force and Iron Wolf both have the same spot, and they are/were badly rejected.

^Haha, if SFGAm puts in a B&M dive machine in a year or 2, I will be very surprised. I doubt Six Flags will still be around then. But, I honestly think that it would be the smartest decision for the park. It's way different, new to the mid-west, and the marketing and advertisements will shock attendees.
Well where Splashwater used to be there is a huge plot of land, antique cars can either be removed or rerouted around or through anything new there, but that stretches back around by Eagle. And between Viper and Whizzer under where Bull's first turn is there is a sizable plot of land, and again can reroute or avoid the entrance path to HH. Then where SSA is now that whole area can contain something sizable if they decide against using it for water park expansion, and if they need a little more room they can always expand into the parking lot/entrance plaza there. Also, if you're going to build less than 120 feet and don't need to get approval from the village, where Wilderness Theater is now there is a pretty big plot of land, after all you don't really need 2 entrances to the picnic grove, so that'd free up a decent chunk of land.
Also there is a smaller plot of land on the south end of Southwest Territory where the coca cola cool zone is around near the theater, that's all backstage area that can be relocated and maintenance road either built around, or rerouted. If they got rid of Demon, that sits on an enormous plot of land also, Demon is nearing the end of it's lifespan. For what Demon it is takes up an absolutely insane amount of land, basically a rectangle from the bridge to enter county fair from hometown square back to the back of the buildings of southwest territory, then on down to basically american eagle and the Antique Cars.
Then if you look at Great America in California, they had no problem building Vortex their standup coaster directly over the center corridor behind park operations (where the parade starts in Hometown), then it occupies the center corridor and what is now King Chaos at our park.
In short, SFGAm has no shortage of land what so ever, especially if you look at parks like IB, SCBB and Blackpool Pleasure Beach, that find room for whatever they want, weather it's apparent or not, like when IB announced Cornball Express, no body had any f'ing clue where in the hell it was going to fit.

^ I dont see how unrealistic those options are. Unless of course your one of those Demon freaks. Personally I think Parker has some very good forethought and doesnt just post crap about this or that or whatever.
Demon isnt going anywhere, they do big upkeep projects on it every year to ensure it runs smoothly for years (in comparision to some rides they clearly dont have any interest in keeping around for very long).
No ride is safe in these days and times. No matter how old or how much history it has with the park. I personally don't see a big public outcry over Demon or Wolf. Not even close to the levels of Whizzer in 2002.
I love the Demon but I see it going in the next 5-10 years . But everything gets outdated, plus like FParker said Demon has an enormous amount of land, that plus splashwater falls and where the coca-cola cool zone thing is that is a huge amount, but I know it would be completely unrealistic but they could always build OVER Demon, but that would not happen. If/When they take out Demon I hope that some small park that is just looking for a nice mild thrill reliable coaster would want to buy it.
But I don't like talking about of my most sedimentary important coaster being taken down.
