News: Magic Mountain is not for sale

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Just a thought, but I think they might put a cool flat in where SWF was. That area needs an entrance. Like, the walkway under the Demon block break. An S&S Swing or Gyro Swing would be awesome in that space.

What is the swing ride everyone is talking about?

Arent they putting the go garts there and building a new entrance for HH and building a water coaster slide there? Something like Delige at SFKK?

Nothing's been confirmed for the SSA spot, but I think the majority opinion on this board is that a separate entrance to HH will be built there, and possibly an extension of the water park. That's all speculation on our part

This article is just to show people in that area that it's still open. Back when they said they were going to sell this park, and than they changed their minds by selling some smaller parks. Thus, people thought it was a goner, and thus some people must not realize it's still open.

This park is full of a lot of roller coasters, but it sort of neglects the flat rides. Sure, there are flat rides, but the amount is comparable to a Six Flags St. Louis with removals this year, and last year. If you sell Magic Mountain for just the property, most of those roller coasters aren't going to be worth much to be relocated. A lot of them are on hills, and supports would have to be completely messed up at many other parks.

If you said goodbye to any one of these Six Flags parks though, I'm sure there would be rides at that park that just wouldn't be worth relocating.

I don't know how Six Flags is going to survive unless they start selling almost all of their parks. And than you think, what's the point of their being a Six Flags anymore if you only have one or two. I don't know about Magic Mountain's turn around. It would have to be my homepark for me really to see the difference. All I know is that removing a number of rides is not something good.
