Going solo?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

How sad is it for someone to go to Six Flags by themselves?? I want to go back to Fright Fest but can't find anyone to go with. I went this past weekend with my cousin, but he was a pain in the a*@. Let me know what you guys think if it is worth it to go alone.

Oh yeah, if you want to go but don't ave anyone else DO IT. So worth it. Nobody nagging you. Nobody holding you back. Just make sure you do everything without thinking you shouldn't because you are alone. Enjoy your FREE time. Stay the whole day if possible. You do what you want when you want it.

personally, I won't go alone. I think I would be extremely bored with nobody to talk to. That's just my thoughts. I understand what everyone says about the freedom of being by yourself and getting to do exactly what you want to do, but I want to be around people when I go.

I love going by myself, I don't have to worry about anyone telling me what to do and when to do it. But like LAFFfan4lyfe somtimes it does get boring haveing nobody to talk to.

I have gone by myself during Fright Fest and Normal operation and I really like it. You get more of the park experience and the surroundings.

I remember going to Fright Fest when it was dead and raining and walking in County Fair at night by myself with literally no one in the area....that was cool! The music, the fog, and the actors made you feel like it was a horror movie :D

You can easily cut to get to that one seat in the back row that is open and people don't care if you do.

I went this past weekend both solo(Saturday) and with someone on Sunday. Had I done solo on Sunday, and with someone on Saturday, it would have been great. My big advice is don't go solo on Saturdays, as waiting in line for an hour by yourself sucks. But on light days, like Sunday was, it is great.

I get a kick out of some of you that say you would never go alone.

Yeah, like you have a hundred friends ready and willing to go to the park at your disposal.

Laffan4life, or whatever you call yourself, with some of the company you have gone with, I would go alone.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

hey hey! I like the company I go with. They've changed over the years, but they're still better than standing in line by myself, in my honest opinion.

While I also perfer to go to SF with family, i have went by myself alot when no one else wanyed to go or was busy, and Ive always had a good time at the park. There are enough rides to enjoy and people watching to do that you can easily have a good time by yourself.

Go for it its not that bad like some people said you can actually enjoy the park by yourself. I go with friends or family sometimes but they get annoying once in a while because they wont go on the rides you wanted or their too chicken 2 go. Tip on a busy day and you wanna get on the front seat wait on row 2 because they might have an opening in row 1 you can go on it. Have fun.

this question seems to come up every once in a while. Look, no one can give you this answer, as it depends on YOU. You are either comfortable and confident in your own skin, or you are not.

Personally, I love it. I also love taking my kids along, but that's a much different trip. And thats a good thing.

Why dont you try it? What's the worst that could happen - you get to ride a few coasters? Where's the downside there?

The only thing I am worried about is what people would say. Sometimes I don't care, but I don't wanna go and have people looking at me like I'm a loser.

Oh grow up. Not everyone has the time to go every time you want to. Just gotta be like someone sad confident and comfortable in your own skin. Concentrate on what is going on INSIDE the park and not that you are alone. Get a pass if you don't like waiting in long lines by yourself. Or talk on your phone. Or think about why they moved Harry Potter from this November to July 2009. Or why the park refuses to run Roaring Rapids when they did before.
