Mystery GCI?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

OK well I look at Themeparkreview.com a lot and today this thread popped up by the creator of the site, Robb Alvey, http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45256&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Robb was sent an email with a GCI woodie sketches. Many people are guessing that its going to go to SFMM of WoF, but Robb gave a clue on page 9, an Auto Bingo game.

There is a city in the corner that could be Chicago, and the company that manufactured the game are based in Chicago.

The closest major park to Chicago is obviously SFGAm, and looking at the concept art, this coaster looks like it could connect Vu and SWF together.

I just found it interesting.

The auto bingo thing is definitely a clue, but I think it's a stretch to say it's indicating Chicago.

That layout kinda looks like it could fit the area for Vu and SWF, but part of of that has to cross the midway, and there doesn't appear to be a spot in that layout where it could go underground or clear the midway. I could be wrong though.

edit: I take that back, looking at the top image, it looks like there's an area cut out on the back part of it that looks like a "tunnel" for a large walk way.

If this did go here, I would love it. We need more wooden coasters.

I think we broke TPR because I can't load it either, and it was sluggish for that site about an hour ago.

Considering the Size and considering the Parks Rumored for a Wooden Coaster, Lets Eliminate Some.

- California's Great America
- Worlds Of Fun
- Six Flags Magic Mountain

- California's Great America- Rumored to open in 2009. Nope!!!
Even though this coaster could maybe fit in The Old Whizzer Spot, Lance saw at IAAPA the layout isn't the same, and it probably takes a long time to completely reconfigure a layout. 7-9 Months I Believe
http://www.screamscape.com/html/cga_-_2009_woodie_1.htm

- Worlds Of Fun- Rumored to open in 2009. Maybe~
With Timberwolf being a Somewhat Twister, An Out & Back would make sence in my opinion. Plus with the Small Layout, this could be good since the park is part of ACE-2009 Missouri that includes SDC, CC, This Park, and Maybe SFSt.L so they would get people without having to build a Kingda Ka.

- SF- Magic Mountain- Rumored to open in 2009. Maybe~
With the Psyclone and Flashback plots still wide open and Flashback land very near Thomas Town and Bugs Bunny World would be OK considering it wouldn't be too tall or fast and would be a Medium coaster like Whizzer and Viper Here. Psyclone could also be a good choice with the Rumored Terminator name kinda weird next to Bugs Bunny and Thomas the Tank Engine. But in my opinion, a ride themed to Terminator should be intense and not so much lame.

Personally, I don't see this going to any Park rumored/ confirmed to get a GCI, But A Family Park, Oversees park could get alot out of this.

One final Possible Contender is Quassy Amusement Park in Connecticut. A Park that is planning to build a Wooden Coaster in the Future. A Park of this Size could handle the Wooden Coaster.

Just my Guess.

the site works fine for me

in fact its updated with the answer

supermanfan of TPR wrote:Forellenhof, or "Erlebnispark Forellenhof Plohn", is indeed getting a Great Coasters ride for 2009!

Here are some stats:
- 90-foot elevation change
- 70.8-foot first drop
- 45.5 mph top speed
- 2,379 feet of track
- Two tunnels

The ride intertwines well with the surrounding rides and shows beautifully from the rest of the park; it's a really cool setting for a coaster. And, of course, it will have low-to-the-ground speed, pops of airtime, and quick direction changes. There will be one of our Millennium Flyer trains (hence the lack of a maintenance building, as someone pointed out).

Construction is under way, as the link indicates. Forellenhof has posted a banner of this coming attraction on site.

Good job to those who got the clues!

Where do you see the cut-out area?

That layout doesn't seem to exciting. I'd much rather have a dive coaster since we already have 2 great wood coasters.

Thanks for sharing though, that's very intresting.

That layout doesn't look like it will fit. It is too drawn out and the layout is a 90 degree angle. In order to connect the two it would have to be at an angle, and have two high hill, or a tunnel, to go over or under the path....but we will see.
