Rachael Ray magazine declares Knoebels winner against ‘Goliath’ Six Flags

Writer Jason Clampet pitts Knoebels Amusement Resort against Six Flags Great Adventure, comparing the lines, rides, food and price.

Calling Six Flags the “gorilla of theme parks” and Knoebels “a small Pennsylvania classic,” the magazine begs the question, “Does bigger mean better?”

The article gives the name “Goliath” to Six Flags, explaining it sprawls across 300 acres in New Jersey, three hours west of Elysburg, where the family run Knoebels, dubbed “David,” sits on 200 acres.

I'd have to agree 100%, would take Knoebels any day of the week over SFGAdv, twice on sundays.

Too true. For anyone who's been to both parks, there's absolutely no comparison. Granted, GADv has some awesome rides, but I spend all day on the Phoenix and be happy.

I would probably pick Knoebel's For A Few Reasons.

1: I think Rachel Ray Is Hot!!!!

2: I did not see one Closed Ride at Knoebel's in 07 when I went, Great Adventure would probably have tons of rides closed.

Tip: For Knoebel's I wish they allowed you to Purchase stuff with Credit Cards.

This is bull .... really... I hate when in artickles it says average wait time is 2 hours! it's not true.... RB with 3 trains and 2 houses open is 44 minutes... go in line and time the wait.

Mod Note: Removed "starred" curse word

Knoebels seems nice, but there is no comparison when it comes to rides.

Kingda Ka, Nitro, BTR, SUF, El Toro, Medusa, GAsM, NO COMPARISOn. Besides, coaster enthusiasts go for the rides dont we?

Wow FParker I thought it was bad there, but not that bad. Isn't that like a 15-25% of the Parks Rides?

well that is from like 01 or 02, and early season weekday though most of those rides don't exist there anymore, so in the end I guess it really didnt matter much :)

But yeah it would have been a good 20-30% if not more of their rides

I will have to make sure I look for the word "artickles" in the dictionary. I feel as if spelling it "articles" is incorrect.
