Cool... can't wait until the 12th. Fright Fest used to be just an ordinary SFGAm day for me, but now after I looked at some pics from last year, it brought back memories and I remember how awesome it was.
Fright Fest for me is far from a normal day at the park. For one, the lines are usually really long so I don't get on many rides, and instead of usually walking around the park 3 or 4 times like I usually do when the lines are long. I can go into Necropolis, after all theres always fun to be had in Necropolis.
I just heard from a friend of mine that the fright fest flags are hung on the Demon lift, and they are adding red lights in the station and around the ride of American Eagle!
I also heard from one of the operators of the train at SFGAM that this year they will have King Kong at the top of the Sky-Trek-Tower. That should make for a pretty interesting sight.
Also I can tell you why they did not have any skits planned for the train last year. SFGAM was planning on removing the Whizzer to place Superman there. To remove the Whizzer they would have had to remove about 11 feet of track from the train. Gam was under the impression that the train was going to be closed for fright fest due to construction. When they decided to remove Shockwave instead, and keep the Whizzer open and the train running, it was too late to put together a skit for the train. I was told that by a train operator. So they jusy let it run regular. That also explains why there werent even any decorations. Why put decorations up if people werent going to see them?
That would be cool to see the King Kong, but I'm surmprised to hear that because that's all Universal stuff. I also heard the same stuff about the train last year. We probibly talked to the same train operator.
coastercrazy111, sometimes stuff like that King Kong thing should be left unsaid. Ive heard about it but, come on...people do need some surprises for Fright Fest.Dave "Who can't wait to snap and drop this year "
No we don't we want to know everything we posibly can! If you also heard that, do you mean it's a rumor or its a fact? Whatever the answer is, I will find out sooner or later... I drive by the tower almost every day.

Glad to hear the train show is so popular and there's so much anticipation about Scooby Doo Mystery Train. My first job at Fright Fest was playing "Ded Wood" on the train route. It's a tough gig, not even scaring, but just trying to entertain that many guests in that wide of a space, sometimes in broad daylight. It's a tough question, trying to figure out what works there and what doesn't. I'm thinking that Scooby Doo will be familiar enough to play to a wide audience and make sense.Take care --JC
