I've never rode an Intamin halfpipe before. I'm curious to see what it's like.

RCDB also lists powered coasters.
The Large model of DiskO does go up to 90 degrees.
I still dont see any fundamental difference between Halfpipe and DiskO.
Sprocket Rockets is a heck of a lot smaller and has different track from Raging Bull, does that make it less of a coaster?
And for Super Loops/Ring of Fire, they do a full 360 degrees, does that make that a coaster?
I should start counting coasters like some of you people do, I'd be well into the 600's if not higher
edit: I'm bored out of my mind and out of curiosity looked it up, Intamin does not consider it a Roller Coaster, it's on their Thrill Ride page.
And also forgot to mention, Halfpipes are a heck of alot of fun, I personally like Halfpipe way more than the impulse coasters.

Hmm. I guess I don't really know then. Just that DiskO's are more carnival kind of rides.

Honestly after riding the one at Elitch Gardens, it's quite overrated if you ask me... I mean it's kind of thrilling if you like spinning. However if you're looking for speed this is NOT the ride for you!

I get sick easy on spinning stuff but not coasters. Unless it spins. Except Spinning wild mouse coasters.

I was kinda thinking the same thing like it should have a bigger tower/track.

I guess we have to consider that they don't have too much room to work with.

that is a fairly standard tower for something that size. It's only like 65 feet tall, and all it is is an overgrown Frog Hopper (though I'm sure it will be awesome just like the smaller Spring Towers from moser)

pics of other various models of the same ride is the second listing down.

I think spring tower from Moser is one of the few rides left on the planet that still gives me the dropping feeling in my stomach, for being a kids ride they are awesome

I agree, even the one at Kiddieland has some great airtime! This one looks like it'll definitely pack a decent punch, and with the Spongebob coaster, i'm sure a serious thrill isn't completely necessary at this point in time.

It is going t still be fun. It's just like a mini Power tower just with 1 tower and smaller. It'll still be a good ride. At least it's not a smaller spring ride though. YAY for MOA!!!

there's a pic of the Avatar seats. Has the newer Intamin OTSR's on it vs the other Halfpipes, and could just be the pic but the seats seem to be more off center than the others, or at least Elitch's. More off center = more spin

Ahh, Great. I never thought about the waits and wait they'll be like now. They might be busier because more people and families are gonna be heading up there now becasue of all the new additions. The new halfpipe seats look comfortable!

Apparently heavy theming is supposed to begin in the next week or two, then things will really start looking Nickelodeon before the grand opening.
