Let us know how your day at the park was.

We went by the park on Wed. night to look at it. Boy, was I amazed when I saw it. Couldn't wait for the next day!

Day 1: The Blackout of 2003

Today was fun, but VERY disappointing. We all woke up late, at 9:30, and left at about 11:30, getting there at noon.

I was really excited now. I headed over to TTD, seeing that the line wasn't bad at all. I waited an hour and a half for the back. The launch scared the #@$% out of me! It is unexplainable. The g-forces were insane. Unfortunately, it didn't roll back, but that was okay. AMAZING ride! 10/10

I went over to Power Tower. I waited 5 minutes for the red side. The launch was cool, and I got a nice pop of airtime at the top of the tower. Nice view. 5/10

I went back on, this time for the teal side. The wait was 15 minutes. Once again, nice view. This is a cool ride. 5/10

Then I went over to MF and waited an hour for the back. Whoa... amazing ride! I almost blacked out on the first turn O_O Lots of airtime and good speed. 10/10

I got a sandwich at The Trail's End and as I was about to get some pop - the power went out. Some people thought it was just that area of the park, but it turned out that the whole park had lost power. Someone saw TTD roll back, Mantis & Iron Dragon were stuck on the lifts, and MF was stuck right at the top of the lift. Later they manually pushed it over.

About 3 hours later they started telling people to leave. So we left at 8. Oh well, at least I got on the two main ones I wanted to get on. It turned out that a lot of the northeast lost power, and even parts in Canada. There was a lightning strike near a power plant in NY. Though I'm sure you all know this already, because it was pretty big news.

Day 2: The Better Day

We got there at 10:30 and I got in line for Blue Streak. Waited 10 minutes for the back. This was a nice ride. 6/10

I went over to Raptor and waited 20 minutes for the back. Awesome ride. During the first drop, my OTSR came up one click O_O scary. I got a freeway stamp for Raptor for 3-4 o'clock. 9/10

Then I headed over to Wicked Twister and waited 10 minutes for the back. Wow, twisting up that back spike was REALLY cool! 9/10

I got back on in 10 minutes. Then I took a quick ride on Chaos. Nice ride. 6/10

Then I went to Iron Dragon and waited 5 minutes for the back. I wasn't expecting much out of it, but it was better than I expected. 6/10

Then I waited 10 minutes for Wildcat. Nice ride. 6/10

I headed over to Mantis and waited 50 minutes for the back. Wow, this ride was awesome! Not rough at all, and I really liked that dive loop. 9/10

Then I went over to Mean Streak. There was almost no one in line. I was just about to get on when they closed it because it started raining. About an hour later, it was back up. It was a really awesome ride, but it was really shaky and I got temporary breathing problems from it (probably because I have asthma... dunno). 8/10

It was 3:20 so we rode the train to MF. We quickly walked over to Raptor and I got on with my freeway stamp in 5 minutes.

Then I went over to Corkscrew and waited 5 minutes for the back. Fun ride, but the OSTRs were painful. 6/10

I knew what I was going on next, since seeing/hearing it launch made me want to get on it. I got in line for TTD. 10 minutes later it was shut down when it started drizzling. 30 minutes later they tested it a few times. The first test barely made it over the top. 35 minutes later, I got on in the back row. Another amazing ride on TTD, though the first time was a bit better.

Then I headed over to Gemini, and waited 5 minutes for the back on the blue side. But when I got on, they shut the ride down because it started drizzling again. After 10 minutes of waiting I went over to Magnum. Waited 5 minutes for the back. As I was in line I saw TTD roll back when it was testing, I thought that was cool. Wow, pretty good ride. Not what I was expecting. 8/10

I went back over to Gemini since it was open. Waited 5 minutes for the back on the red side. It was a cool ride, but what I wasn't expecting was the roughness. 7/10

I headed over to Mantis and waited 15 minutes for the back. I got back on for a night ride. Still no roughness, and still quite fun. Then I went to MF and waited 45 minutes for the back. MF + night = purely amazing. I love the speed and airtime on this.

I wanted to get back on, but but it was now 9:30 and I really wanted a night ride on TTD. So I headed over there. Waited an hour for the back. Awesome ride at night, better than before.

After getting some souvenirs and our picture from yesterday, we left at 11:45. CP is amazing. I was told not to get too excited because I would be let down, but I ignored that and I wasn't let down. In fact, it was even better than I was expecting. Overall: 10/10

I couldn't imagine what you felt like when the power went out. It's good to hear that you got on all of the rides though, especially TTD. Glad to hear that you had a good time in the end though despite the power outage.
My Top 5: 1)TTD, 2)Millennium Force, 3)Raptor, 4)Deja Vu, 5)Raging Bull
