"When it opens next March, the 165-meter-tall (541-foot-tall) ride will hold the record until taller giant wheels open in Beijing and Berlin. The “Singapore Flyer" is expected to attract at least 2.5 million visitors annually, generating up to $75 million. AAA Equity Holdings, the primary shareholder in the project, is planning to build a 120-meter (394-foot) wheel in Orlando by 2009, and is negotiating for other locations."
those giant wheels are nothing like riding regular ferris wheels. I've been on the London Eye and it takes about 30-40 mins to make one rotation. Awesome for sightseeing but not really thrilling or scary for anyone. And if you dont like heights you can just sit in the middle of the car and you dont see anything. Each car holds about 20 people and has benches and a bunch of info on the surrounding area and whatnot. Was pretty neat.

Everybody thinks that those giant Ferris wheels would be extremely thrilling. They feel more like you are in a skyscraper than in a Ferris wheel. For instance, in the London Eye you are inside a totally enclosed, air conditioned and heated cabin.
I would assume they would be fully enclosed 20-40 person cabins, with 2-4 restaurant cabins and 2-4 VIP cabins on the wheel.
Also plumbing on the gondolas just wouldnt work, they say that will be what limits the height of these ferris wheels, how long can someone stay in a cabin without using a restroom. This wheel being built will probably be a 45-60 min ride. You really cant go more than one hour they say without facilities. I know at the London Eye they strongly urge you to use the restroom before you board.
