Basically, the girl had a known heart condition and rode Spacely's Sprocket Rockets. She came off, running to her family all happy and excited, and just collapsed unexpectedly.

Its not ours with the problem. It was a recall on the keel.
Ilovthevu' wrote:Giant Drop running at reduced capacity and since early August not at all. ^It was working fine, and then they can't fix it because of the budget cut. One car is no big deal.
Who said it was one car?
Ilovthevu' wrote:One train opperation on American Eagle Red or none at all. ^It's Eagle. Who gives a care. Both sides are forwards anyway now, and you probably understand the reason why. They wanted to refurbish one side, and they knew that they were going to only have one side open.
Blue running backwards was killing the ride more and more every day.
Ilovthevu' wrote:Sky Trek Tower being closed indefinately. ^No money to fix this ride. They probably could get parts, but it would take awhile to get them, and budget cuts. Devised a situation to try to fix it without money, and failed. It's corporates fault!!
Not like they have the staffing to run STT anyways..

So which is going to be removed first?

I think we're getting a little too critical. Yes, there are rides closed for either maintenence or staffing purposes but compare GAm to most other corproate parks.
Last year when I went to SFNE there was 1 noticeable flat open in the entire park. Also rides like BTDK and SROS got long lines and had major stacking and slow as hell operations. Lets say Viper, a popular ride that doesnt really have stacking problems, was built at SFNE. With their operations, it would take 5 minutes to load, and instead of getting an average 760pph it would get like 500. Thats a normal parks operations compared to GAms. Thats why in all the capacity categories even though GAm isnt open as much as most other SF parks it blows all of them away in total riders.
Go to GAdv and find the same thing, very slow operations, lots of rides closed, and the park a lot dirtier than GAm.
Hell, even go to a park with a good rep like Busch Gardens and find operations much worse than GAm (Python and Scorpion running 1 train on the busiest days also). Actually of all the parks i've been to (other than Disney and CP which are much better staffed than all other parks) GAm has by far the best operations and push the most people through and friendliest. SFGAm rides management really knows what they're doing and kick it up a notch even when their rides are having issues.
Simple solution:
Send everyone to SFGAdv and SFDL for a few days then no one would complain about GAm .
Ive never had problems at BGW when it comes to ride being properly staffed of having numerous rides down, and ive never seen these problems at a Universal/Disney park.
Just because other SF parks are run in a pathetic manner is no excuse for the amount of rides currently not being operated due to mechanical or staffing problems.
I'm not one to resurrect old topics, but I figured since the season is coming to and end with only one day left after today, this might be something to talk about. Plus, it's not that old, only a month and a half.
#1 isn't entirely true anymore. Thanks to SFGAm for getting it ready to open the last 2 weekends of Fright Fest. I give them MAJOR credit for that. It is great that they decided to open it for only the last 2 weekends instead of waiting until the 2007 season. Riding it last night was fun. Now it's more like, "Revolution not operating most of the season."
Hopefully the 2007 season will be much better. Hopefully, and most likely, Triple Play will be back and other things will be better.
when i went in june stt was open along with trailblazer and so was giant drop same with loggers run and yankee clipper but the next time i went stt was closed and so was trailblazer i was very concerned so i asked workers they told me that stt wasnt gonna open the rest of the year same with trailblazer they told me those two would open up in the 2007 season again but we will have to just wait and see.
For the pitiful 2 times I went, the park looked good. But generally i've heard that it was bad. Hopefully 07 will be better, because I'll have a season pass for the 1st time in 2 years
