Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby SFGAmfreak4life on August 1st, 2003, 1:19 pm
This was the best experience of my life. I had a great time. Now I know why it was voted the best amusement park in the world. No Im not a po!nter and im not going to turn into one either. In my TR Im just going to say what I got on, how many times I rode it, and what I thought of it.Blue Streak- 1 I liked this small woodie. It was fun.Cedar Creek Mine Ride- 1 time I thought it sucked. It was boring and rough for a small coaster.Corkscrew- 1 time I thought it was okay. I like Demon better.Disaster Transport- 2 times I liked it. It was pretty cool going through all those turns in the dark. It felt good to finally get back on a bobsled coaster since RT.Gemini- 2 times I though it was okay. I liked a few of the drops but most of the ride was boring. I like AE better.Iron Dragon- 1 time I didnt really like the first half of the ride. The second half was pretty cool and fun. I think Ninja at SFMM is better.Mangum XL-200- 2 times Another okay ride. I kind of liked my first time on it. I would have liked it better if i wasnt stapled with a hard lap bar. The second time I didnt like. It beat me up pretty good. To me it was suprisingly rough for a hyper.Mantis 1 time- I loved it. An example of a great stand up coaster.Mean Streak- 5 times The first 2 times I went on it were okay. I was just a bit rough. The last 3 times sucked. It beat me up pretty good those times.Millennium Force- 9 times This and TTD are my favorite coasters ever. The drops and turns on this ride are amazing. I also loved the continous speed.Raptor- 3 times I loved it. Everything about it was awesome except when you enter the break run. An awesome example of an inverted coaster.Top Thrill Dragster- 7 times I loved it. The speed is amazing. Looking down on MF was awesome.Wicked Twister- 2 times I think it sucks. V2 seems faster. The first time you go up the back tower sucked. It barely went up it. The second time it went up was pretty cool. But overall it sucked. V2 is a lot better.Wildcat- 1 time I was okay. The drops were okay. The turns were fun. The brake run was a bit rough.

Great TR. I hope I can go to Cedar Point again this year. What hotel did you stay in? How was it? Well I agree that V2 is a great ride, but I like Wicked Twister much better.... I guess we all have our own opinions though.

It sucks that you wasted all of that time with Mean Streak. At least in my opinion it is a waste of time to walk all the way back to that boring coaster. Its awesome that you got on TTD 7 times though. I got on it twice but I would have loved to get on it more than that.

I stayed at the Comfort Inn. It was a pretty good place. Yes I do like impulses. It wasnt my choice to go to MS the 4 other times. My dad and my friend wanted to so I went on it.

Yea, I never even felt myself even begin to leave my seat. I kept looking ahead and seeing a promising part of track that looked like it would give some airtime but we ended up going way too slow over it. I only rode it once because it wasn't worth the walk back there.

When we stayed at hotel breakers, I was really dissapointed with the room after hearing how much we were paying. It was nice to have your room in the park though.

I feel like such an idiot. You guys wont believe what im forgot to say in my TR. The first day I was there I met John Pullum. I saw him on Magnum and I said to my friend "thats the guy who hosted Thrill Rides Put to the Test". He said "Oh my god it is!" Then after our ride on magnum we saw him and we started to talk. He said that he is gonna do another one of those shows but he doesnt know which park it will be at. He said he asked CP but they turned him down.He gave me his card. He was there with his 3 kids. I dont know if hes married because he didnt have his wife with him but his kids were. Either he adopted the kids or he married an oriental woman. O yeah and he told us to contact him and we will probably be on his next show. He told us to watch this shark thing on discovery channel. He said that this one guy got his leg bitten off by a shark. Thats pretty much all he said. Hes a really nice guy and hes cool.
