Only Moderators/Admins have the ability to delete posts in a specific section or thread. This avoids incidents like what Papas did a few offseasons ago.

It wasn't specifically because of Papas, he just was clever and got around the delete ban. There was an incident where a former moderator deleted every single post on the forum. Dave and Kyle worked overtime to restore the database, but several days worth of posts were lost and all Returns (enters) were lost so all old posts are one giant paragraph.

A disgruntled user could go through a delete all their posts and really screw up topics and the forums, so we just got rid of the deleting posts. If a member honestly makes a mistake (ie. Double Posting on accident) we don't get mad and you wont get in any trouble.
