How about ranking based on the number of posts?

I guess ranking members is a way to check out who's active on the boards and who is not.

I think that's a bad idea, because then people will start thinking they are better than others.

Yeah, that's what we have on CoasterForce. I'm already past the rankings though. I'm actually the #5 top poster there!!!!

I don't thibk people will think there better then others. Its just cool to see the different rankings, and to watch yourself move up in them.

If you want to see the rankings, go to memberlist, and sort by number of posts. It's as simple as that. Giving out rankings for number of posts tends to cause spamming. Thats why coasterforce got rid of the kudos system. People were spamming all over the place in order to earn more kudos. The same thing happens with rankings, albeit to a lesser extent. Anyway, thats just a couple years of experience talking, its up to you if you choose to believe it.

We could add the rankings if we wanted to but like someone said above, it would just cause people to post for no reason other than to get to a higher rank.
