Ragin' Cajun now has a single rider line. The single rider entrance is to the right of the regular entrance and goes up the right side of the stairs. Using the single rider line, I was able to get on Ragin' Cajun in 5 minutes when the entire (regular) line was full
Oh, that's GREAT news!!!!! There was a single riders line for Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg last year when we went, and my and my youngest brother got on it 4 times in a half hour, despite the hour wait it had for everyone else!
There is one downside i see to this, and that would be due to the seat arrangement. I know i'm a larger person ( a little under 200lbs) and if a young lady or a kid go through the single rider line and end up sitting next to me, I would be afraid i'd squish them or something. Also, despite me loving the idea of a single line and not having to wait the whole thing, i liked getting my own half of the car when i rode, so we'll see how it goes. It's a good idea for busy days though for sure!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
I did this last night and I was able to walk right up and get on instantly. Although, there were only 2 people sitting in the car and I was with another friend. But we weren't able to sit by each other. So instead we had to ride by ourself with car that only had 2 people...if there is 2 empty seats, 2 friends in the single rider line should be able to sit by each other.

Cajun doesnt take 4 people taller than 54" anymore due to weight which is why they made the single rider line, so at least if theres a group of 2 they can stick a single rider on with them and have 3 (or if theres a group of 4 the group of 2 has to split up and ride with a single rider).
^Is there a problem now with the ride if it cant have over 3 adults? But what would happen if three 300+ pound people were to ride...instead of 4 150+ people
Its been that way since mid 2006. Technically Zamperla doesnt allow more than X amount of weight in the car and sometimes 4 adults would make it more than that limit. Yes they did used to put 4 adults per car but I think after some minor problems they made a rule with only 3 adult max.
Ragin Cajun is not a normal mouse, its a Zamperla/Reverchon hybrid that was screwed up in pretty much every way possible. Six Flags lawyers also required the ride to have a backup safety system that Zamperla didnt make and the system SF's ride control guys setup just makes no sense which is why they havent gone over 5 cars (though it could easily run 6 or 7 as long as the crew is trained to do it right but the rides upper management doesnt want to cause any downtime if they mess up).
If you notice SF hasnt bought any of those mice after Cajun...the Gerstlauers and Macks are better mechanically and have way higher capacity with a lower height requirement.
I was on Opa and mid ride my restraint popped open...I have video of it and its really funny. Then I just kept it open the rest of the ride not thinking to re-close it.
If there is a restraint problem, is there a sensor that would make the ride shut down?
Cajun would not stop if a restraint came open during the ride because when the contact pins line up on the bus bar, the signal for unlocked lap bar only affects a car in that particular spot (which is why cars need to be shaken before they are advanced onto the ride, it is unbalanced so the contacts dont line up with the bus bar so the ride op has to manually adjust it). A car with a restraint that is not down far enough will not send out of the station, but if it comes open after the dispatch the ride wont know and itll just operate as normal. The restraint cylinders get shotty on Cajun pretty often which requires cars to be swapped off so it does happen every once in awhile where a restraint will not go down very far (though on Cajun they do not open all the way).
That being said Opa has different cars and a different operating system than Cajun, so IDK about that.
