2004/2005 options

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby SFGAmfreak4life on September 3rd, 2003, 2:40 pm
I bet this will get locked right away because I know nobody here wil believe me. If you dont I really dont care. Ok so her it goes.My friend who works in park ops called me from work all excited and he said he just saw the list of ride options for 2004 and 2005. He said next year the park is planning on getting a Delerium. He read the 2005 coaster options which were: either a Intamin or B&M rocket coaster. I asked him why it said B&M and he said hes guessing thats one of their new big projects. Other coasters were B&M floorless, Vekoma half pipe or something else from them, and an S&S-Arrow 4D coaster.I think thats an interesting list. Out of that list I dont really want a half pipe or the floorless. It would be awesome to get a 4D and if not the 4D then the rocket coaster.

Its a giant flat ride. Its like a big pendulum. The seating is in the shape of a big ring and the ride swings back and forth while the ring type seating spins around. You go upside down ont his too.Go here to find out more: http://www.hussrides.com/34GiantDelirium.htm or http://www.pki.com/attractions_rides_fe ... ?id=449382

The Huss Delirium is not the same as PKI's Delirium. Huss's giant delerium ride is different, I don't know what it is, but it's not PKI's. PKI's ride named Delirium is a Huss Giant Frisbee. Didn't PKI do a great job at naming it? It's only a little more creative than our Giant Drop.

Well, I'm not sure I can believe the list, however a flat next year, then a coaster in 2005 sure isn't out of the question. That sounds quite reasonable. I'm just wondering though, don't you think they would already pretty much know what we're getting in 2005? I mean, that's a pretty large list, an I'm pretty sure they plan a few years in advance... Maybe I'm wrong...

I also don't agree with it because Six Flags (the whole company) is having a bad year and is a little short on funds right now.

I really dont buy the Vekoma Half Pipe. 1. Deja Vu and everything else that goes along with it... 2. They got V2 which is pretty similar.I belive the Delerium for next year with the fact they havnt gotten a flat in a while and dont have a huge one either.I do believe this whole thing since he works there as a ride op (not a lemon chill guy) and immediately called his friend to tell him. Also, they didnt mention removing anything....

Pray for the addition of flat rides in the future. Delirium would be great to have at this park. While I didn't ride the one at PKI (because my daughter got scared), I enjoyed watching this thing in action.Coasters need to be put on the backburner for awhile and focus on other additions. *coughwaterparkcough*
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Yeah, I got my hopes up, but then I watched the video :(. PKI's Delirum looks way better then the actual Delirum type ride.

Oops, oh well. I didnt really look into it when I was on their site.

Hes not a ride op. He works in Park Operations. What he does is tells the ops when a ride is down(if they dont know), he tells them if they are able to fix it themselves, if not he sends out mechanics to fix the ride.I just called my friends house and he wont be home until 1a.m. So Ill give him a call sometime after I get home from school tomorrow. Ill ask him if he can get a copy of the list. Im sure he wont be able to unless he takes it without permission which he probably will do.

I hope if they get a delirium, they name it and theme it to the proper territory it would be in. If they put it in Orleans Place (Which they most likely would) They should name it something like Rajin Cajun. Hell, Six Flags St. Louis themed their newest Flat ride to the proper themed area.
Nothing to see here....

That would be a good Idea i like the name rajun cajun or something like that to fit the Orleans Place theme. But its Six Flags so there gonna mess up the themes and name it like Superman Delirium Flight or somethng stupid like that lol. I really dont See B&M making a Rocket coaster maybe but I ll belive it when I see it. An Intimin Rocket on the other hand would be nice. It would be awesome if we got a rocket with AIR TIME. I think it would be cool to have it be like 330 or as tall as the height restriction is of Sky Trek is I think 330 would be a nice height and then have it go like 100 mph but make it like TTD but make it longer with some large camel backs and airtime hills and some over banked turns and that would be nice :D wishful thinking  . We need some flats so a flat or two would be nice next season a delirum or giant frisbee and then maybe a ferris wheel and maybe a top spin lol or maybe we could get SKY WHIRL back

To quote Roller Coaster Tycoon "Just looking at Delirium Makes me Sick  "Seems rather interesting though, Because GA is in desbrate need of some new flats. I like this idea even if i wouldnt be caught dead on it

Galvan. If they put a Delirium in next year, you know you will ride it.I can't see how this ride would fit in Power Dive's footprint. If they did this, they would have to utilize more space which means extending out where the Gazebo is.Anyway, whatever they do, they need to install some more flats.
